  • These are things to make sure you keep in mind when buying a 2is car and when you drive them to look out for. I hope this helps buyers out in the future.

I did a drain and fill on the transmission of my 250 at 145k miles. As long as you have no problems with the transmission, you can do a drain and fill. Never do a flush on high mileage

I have a 2006 IS350 which I have had since 2009 and have not had any of those problems. It has all the options and is in "exceptional" condition. It has always been garage kept and maintained. I only bring it out on nice days and put about 1k miles on it per year. It is my baby!

I didn't know about the dash melting! Would probably be worth it to get a nice ceramic tint on the windshield. I did this on my 22 Stinger (70%) and my car is never hot enough to where it is uncomfortable, even parked outside for days in the middle of summer. Granted, it has ceramics all around. Ceramic tints work wonders.

I have an 07 is250 with 223k miles. Runs like a beast. A slow beast lol but really well

The ticking is the GDI injectors. All of them, regardless of mileage or maintenance make that ticking noise.

Yup exactly I thought I’d point it out as nothing to be worried about

Yoo really love this detail I have a rx330 and looked into potential issues and went ahead and changed those out the water pump and timing belt was one. So if I ever get one I’ll change it asap to prevent and failure!

I mean for a water pump it’s not an issue. Until it is. I wouldn’t change it until you see it leaking or overheating issues

Probably. I’d just keep an eye out for them if you just got that car. Otherwise stay on top of regular maintenance and you’ll be fine!
