Cool video! The flight shots are spectacular. I have a picture of that C-46 in one of my propliners books - "Caribbean Props," I believe. Back in 1990, that airframe was largely intact. According to the book, the captain elected to go to another island to refuel because it was a little cheaper. But, no... he ran out of fuel and had to ditch. I wonder it the story is true. I have always liked the Lake Amphibian. The Britten-Norman Islander in your Walker Cay video is pretty cool, too, even though the British aircraft could not land on water.
Your Lake films are the best, Chris. As a Lake aficionado I would really appreciate a ramp film of your aircraft where you talk a bit about it and why you like it, maybe a preflight and whatnot. I would love that.
Not raggin on ya dude, this video is sooo beautiful and I LOVE your plane but i would sure like to hear the engine as well as the water on the hull. Thanks!
I thought at first that this C-46 might have been a drug bird. About 25 years ago I flew into a small airfield in the Bahamas in a C-130. I don't remember which island it was on. It was just a narrow runway with trees on each side, and we were over the water until short final. There was a crashed airplane in the water, another on the beach, on on one side of the runway on the ground, and anouther hangining in the trees. All crashed drug runners. Amazing. The US Navy had a little building there.
Hey cool video. If you get the chance sometime I wish you would make one of the eastern side of the South Bight... there are a couple of shipwrecked fishing vessels right there. There is a nice deep channel access into the South Bight from the Atlantic but for those who stray too far...
What a beautiful bird but honestly, every part of me was telling you to pull up. I even pulled my iPad back as if it was a yoke trying to pull up to avoid the water XD guess I got to get used to landing in water
Anyone know which airframe this C-46 is? Nothing wrong with the music at all. Would have preferred it without the music while inside the crashed aircraft to hear the water hitting it, otherwise music is good
A little mixed up here... DC-3 is a Douglas C-47, and a C-46 is a Curtiss Commando, totally different aircraft. What is shown in the clip is a C46 Curtiss wreckage. And soundtrack useless, there was no need for it.
we dont care what you think....go record your own videos and post them so we can verbally put your shit thru a car shredder......you have polio?? if you dont turn the volume down...if you do have someone else turn it down for you......
Opening "scroll" says DC3 ... not a DC3. DC3 is a C-47. The C-46 bird in the vid is a Curtiss Commando. I have been aboard that exact aircraft ... and yes, it was a drug plane.
These videos are bad to the bone. Love that little plane. Wish i could ride. Got a big wide river I live on. Come see me. 30.62 Lat and 88.08 long. Thanks for posting
Love the photography, the plane, the views, the locale, etc. The music is beyond obnoxious. Trying to go for a Retro Miami Vice style soundtrack? Why not take the opportunity to educate us about what we are looking at? I had a lot of questions I would have liked answered about all of it, dude you can do it, give it a try. But the music HAS TO GO!

GoPro HD Hero Camera....Amazing quality for such a small camera! Watching in full screen HD, really shows the clarity.
Great video... thanks for sharing. I get to fly the Coast Guard Dolphins around Great Inagua from time to time... but no water landings!
Not raggin on ya dude, this video is sooo beautiful and I LOVE your plane but i would sure like to hear the engine as well as the water on the hull. Thanks!
Great video, wish I had the possibility to do this.
I don't understand why people ruin otherwise good videos with silly music instead of letting the music coming off the recip engines please our ears.
Because, Miami Vice, man! Long live Crockett and Tubbs!
go make your own videos and post them......
That's awesome. I wonder why it wasn't recovered from the water .
Please do more vídeos of that and abandoned boats plis they are amazing the BEST videos
Great video and a beautiful flight! Your aircraft is really nice.
Which camera are you using?

Norman's Cay airport just to the east of it is where that crashed drug plane is.

Cool. I found a few wrecks around Great Inagua...
Amazing video! What plane is that?
Wonderful aeroplane and video.. perfect for the environment.
extremely cool video!
Did the crew survive the crash? Andros is gorgeous but such a strange place all at once.
I love the videos but you have me curious about one thing. How do you deal with salt water and a metal airplane?
Coatings and paint help, but it needs to be cleaned often I would imagine.
Awesome job....ATC Nassau bro!!
Amazing!!! Ur really adventurous :)

Great vids

Thanks!
now that is an adventure....
great video loved the music aswell perfect fit.
Nice video but; ....... the crashed airplane is not a DC3, it's a C-46!
That plane has seen better days..
"... went down in 1965". According to others it was 09-28-1979 ?
Bad music and title says C-46 and video says DC-3 which is it ?

So. What was the plane carrying when it went down? Pot? Would say cocaine but it went down in 1965.
Your videos are great, loose the "music" and let us hear the wind and water. PIC/diver!
The video said visiting a "crashed DC-3 from 1965" -- the nose looked kind of like a DC-3. Interesting, anyway.
If you lost the music you would have many more subscribers, very nice video's, I put the sound off
its a lake LA-200

The reason he plays the music is because he thinks he just made a music video.
And get some camera stabilization for the love of Mike!
