Can honestly say that the island is a great place to escape to from the world. I spent a little more than a week there last year. With little or no internet connections no mobile phones, no traffic, absolute bliss.
Kamalame is all about relaxing and getting in touch with nature and yourself. The house staff are great fun and very friendly and always smiling. If you take the time to get to know them a little it is really worth it.
I spent hours just drifting around snorkelling in the warm waters. When you stay in one of the cottages the beach is literally right on your doorstep. A few moments and you are in the water.
I met one or two of the home owners who adore being at Kamalame as they can switch off from their high stress positions and relax with family and friends.
Hannah (the "Mermaid") and Mark are very professional and really go out of their way to look after guests and ensure that they have a great time at Kamalame. Hannah is a great drive instructor for "kids" of all ages and puts them at ease whilst teaching them Padi dive courses or simply taking them snorkelling.
Both Hannah and Mark are very easy going and go with the flow of customers wishes. They make a great pair both in and out of the water, possibly because Hannah is Scottish and Mark American the contrasting cultures really work.
First - I have to become a Feature's editor for Elle. However, we stayed there for our honeymoon last year, and we're now returning again. We just dont think we'll find anything else like it (athough if you have any suggestions, let me know)!
