Don’t disrespect true comedians out there - I think the prices are insulting! Lol they must take us for fools.. I bought a 2018 Silverado LT last year for $45k CAD ($50k out the door). They never discount midsize trucks either to the extent of full size.
I can buy a 2018 Colorado for 18k US... the Zr2 is an offroad monster. THE DSSV shocks alone are 7k if you buy them from Chevy. Front and Rear Lockers are 2-5k installed. All the stuff that comes with Bison package (you can buy it all individually from AEV) it's cheaper to buy the car(bison) than the parts to upgrade the zr2. The Wrangler or Gladiator is just expensive and is hardly a truck...its a wrangler with a bed. The only rip off is the TRD pro because you can buy a Tacoma Offroad 4x4 and upgrade the suspension for $500.
Yea that's all good. But you get no warranty with all that. So you break something and you take it to the dealer. Your claim will get denied because you modified it.
Tony Hightower I think you are confusing the Canadian and US Prices- 68k for the gladiator was Canadian $. Trust me I think the gladiator is overpriced too, but not in loaded pw territory.
No midsize truck looks as good as the Tacoma trd Pro. After all these years I would still take the Tacoma any day over any other midsize truck. I just love this truck so much.
I'll take the Colorado. Lockers and would take the diesel version. The regular ZR2 doesn't have a price tag like the gladiator either. I wait for the day Toyota brings the 2.8 GD6 found in the Hilux
I got a 2019 Ram 2500 6.4 L Laramie listed for $61,000 got it for mid $55,000 and it will run circles around these trucks. Tows 14,000 payload 3,000 long bed crew cab leather - sun roof - HK stereo $4k option - power seats - front and back headed heats - UConnect - auto everting - power front seats. Love this thing.
Great but you missed the point that these are mid-size trucks. Also i guarantee you that I have taken my ZR2 to places you would never get that pig of a truck. All while spending almost 20k less. Oh and you can keep your sun-roof.
There is no good way to have a great off roader and a great on road truck there are too many compromises. I will stick with my Ram 2500 diesel and SXS Now I can travel comfortably while towing the best off road vehicle out there. And bonus no tent camping the SXS goes in the toy hauler. You guys can keep your little boy pick ups that cost more than my diesel pick up.
Compared to the two Tacomas I previously owned, my 2018 TRD Off-Road was a major disappointment. In town or on the dirt, it was fine. At freeway speeds especially climbing, it was constantly hunting gears and struggled to keep the speed up. Plus it guzzled gas. The 3rd gen Tacoma engine/tranny combination sucked. I traded it for a 2020 diesel Bison. The Bison has power to spare and 40%+ better fuel economy.
Jeep is the clear winner here. It is the most expensive but you get what you pay for. Best OFF- ROADER , best payload, best towing, best axle / crawl ratios. Disconnectable sway bars for best articulation also straight axles front and rear.

I get tired of stop and go clutch ins only to immediately feather the clutch to get going again in traffic. I have motorcycles from rockets to cruisers. Sometimes it’s nice not have to babysit gears. Also on the trails it’s way more smooth to crawl with an auto.
@@verynearlypure i agree for daily use an automatic is where its at, but as far as off roading, manual is way better especially down hill, 1 gear in manual CREEPS an automatic will eventually pick up speed.
I’d like to see a real world MPG test. Hard to believe the square shaped Jeep with the biggest tires by far gets better MPG’s then the Colorado. I don’t trust what the manufacturers claim.
idk man i was pretty surprised when the numbers on my JK rubi were exactly what they rating was, id believe its a little better with the 8spd and new body.
@C Pr My trip computer says I get 19-20 mixed driving in my JKU 6 speed stick. When I measure at the pump it's more like 20-21. But when you have all 3 at your disposal for a day, why not report the actual miles and gallons consumed. It looks like they did a bit of idling during his presentation, not unlike people waiting to get up a trail or stuck in traffic. The numbers can be quite revealing when you let a vehicle idle for extended periods.
I'm running 16 or so mixed driving mpg on my H3T equipped with the 5.3 V8 and some aftermarket 35 inch M/T tires despite the average fuel economy being rated at 13 combined. I am running a banks programmer but I keep it on the 87 octane performance setting. So I also kinda find it hard to believe the jeep is getting better mpg vs the ZR2.
Great vid... Thank you for sharing! I got my 18' Z71 new (about 34k miles ago) for $32,500 after rebates. It still has a rear locker... I will be putting the Eaton E-Locker from the ZR2 into the front soon myself for around $800 worth of parts. Same tires as the TRD Pro. 47:1 crawl ratio vs 36:1 on the Taco. Fuel economy rating is 18/24. I took the air dam off and installed OEM Zr2 style skids for $330. I bought some used ZR2 sliders for $300 and they bolted right up. At just over $33,000 I am now sitting decent. I may throw on one of the many aftermarket bumpers at some point... Possible the AEV bumper since they are now available. As well as some of the boron steel skids from AEV.

There is nothing in this video that couldn't be found on any specifications/data website out there (including the manufacturer websites). I was hoping for maybe a snowy hill climb test and stopping distance test...or at least a comparison of the cargo space and how you would fit a weekend's worth of gear in the back. I have friends who drive all three, and I was about to share it with them so they could fight over the results...but there isn't much content here. Cool video of them splashing in the mud, that's all.
Toyota is the most reliable vehicle brand on Earth.. That isn't even subjective, it's official.. They build engines to last decades.. Bulletproof reliability.. It is why Toyota is the best selling vehicle on the planet..
@I know you are right, And I just got owned but: I have a 2017 Tacoma with 60k miles. It has never been garage kept, been in 4 accidents (Not my fault. I'm unlucky), has trail damage from 2 years of hitting offroad trails in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and Texas every weekend, done some mild towing (4.5k-ish lbs for 1000+ miles a couple times and 1.5k ish lbs on occasion) , and received a lift and bigger tires 10k miles ago. The only issue I've had was the AC blower motor recall. Toyota handled it asked and even put me in a rental for a couple days so I didn't have to deal with Texas heat and no AC.
Yell but you know if the toy had better tires like BFG TA KOs. I run these and have for 10-12 years or so I love them, a lot better than the stock ones. I can’t figure it out, am I messing something men?🍀
Jet me be clear , 2 sets since 2014 on my 2001 Tacoma. I got 2018 TRD off-road . Took the 2001 out of day to day going to work drive.thats still good for BFG All TA . I still run the 01 every week in woods and such.🍀
Great review. I was looking at both the Colorado and Tacoma when I was shopping. I ended up getting the TRD Off Road because it offered a 6 speed manual. But all 3 are fantastic trucks.
It's been said over and over..... You need all them HPs & gears to get yourself to remote and tough places........... Then you need the Tacoma to come get you and bring you home. 😉

@@EGGINFOOLS LMFAO breakover angle is ground clearance divided by wheelbase so you cant have a breakover angle question that doesnt inherently involve groung clearance idiot.
No, not spending $50-60k for a compact. If I had major projects that needed the capability off road it would still be cheaper to build a base model up.
I used to be a Toyota technician, I seen tacos and tundras have a lot problems too. Every manufacturer has problems if they didn't then they wouldn't need technicians.
In Australia we had a 11 Midsize Pickups in a Shoot out They were all diesel, too bad you do not get them in the US. Colorado is not rhat good, Tacoma and Gladiator do not exist
The Jeep is great . it offers things the other two cant really . Solid axles ,the ability to throw on some 35's on stock , but for me 65k is just too much to spend on a vehicle knowing that youre probably going to do another 5k in upgrades .. The Toyota is the king of reliability . It can handle pretty much anything you throw its way . It has the best resale value , a very strong aftermarket parts presence , but at the end of the day its not as off road worthy compared to the other two with the lack of the front locker . Also I heard the seating position and interior is a little uncomfortable , but I saw with the 2020's they added power adjustable seats so... Lastly you have the ZR2. This is probably the truck I would choose currently . The price is the cheapest out of all three( Ive seen as low as 34k new for leftover models). It has the best comfort for a DD , an optional diesel version , skid plates , award winning suspension , front and rear lockers , and from what Ive seen it can give a stock gladiator a run for its money off road due to the break over and departure angles . Its a tough choice , but I think all three are great trucks and you cant go wrong picking one . If youre looking for the forever truck the Toyota is probably the best choice . If youre looking for the best truck to mod , the Jeep is probably the way to go there . If youre looking for an all around off road capable solid DD you can drive for 5-10 years before you trade it in and get the next best thing , the Colorado is my choice , especially given the price (35k).
I bought a 2009 Tacoma TRD OR 4x4 Double Cab with 175k miles on it. It had a full maintenance history, clean carfax and a brand new frame. I paid $12,500. A little maintenance and I should be able to get at least 200,000 more miles out of it. My truck is about 95% as capable as any of these 3 trucks are. Plus I wont cry if I scratch it while off-roading. Sure beats paying $60k!
Someone mentioned the absence of weight in the numbers. I agree that adding weigh and the power-to-weight ratio for both curb weight and GVWR, assuming maximum payload, would add clarity to the power question. Good, fact based review.
Based solely on what I see, I think the Bison is better suited for rock crawling and water fording. I think the regular ZR2 is probably better in every other off road aspect.
The Taco duh. Thats what its known for. I just bought my 2001 Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab limited trim 150k miles. For 9k thats because it was my uncles from day 1. But if u google it they go for 15k
And my fx4 ranger can perform just a well as the taco off road, tow more, haul more, and get better fuel mileage all for much less. My combo is 1455lbs payload, 7500lbs towing, and real world 20mpg combined with how I drive it. For these reasons I think the ranger fx4 should have been in this contest
@@aaron5222 and all the trucks tested in this video were sans manual transmissions. Yes the gladiator and taco have that as an option but the zr2 is an amazing vehicle off road. The fact that it and the ranger dont have a manual transmission option does not mean they're no longer good trucks.

Mistakes are bound to happen with the nature of modern mass production.
Brad Stokes that’s fair but couldn’t you say the same thing about the Tacoma trd pro? I might be misinformed but the Tacoma doesn’t even come with lockers. I think that alone puts the gladiator and Colorado in a whole other category

Great Review. Great job pointing out the door jam sticker over the advertised hauling capacity of the truck. It is amazing how much all of those creature comforts on a truck add to weight and in decreasing the cargo capacity of the vehicle.
As for ground clearance, funny thing is, the Tacoma looks like it has the most. Similar the the door jam numbers, it should actually be measured to verify.
That would be a good idea for all models. Measure a couple different places: just looking underneath and measuring to the lowest hanging fruit, measuring to the frame, measuring to the bottom of the front and rear bumpers, measuring to the body, etc. I haven't measured my Tacoma, but from my experience offroading the Tacoma definitely has better clearance offroad than Colorados. I haven't wheeled with anyone in a Gladiator, but I'm interested in how they measured the ground clearance for the Jeep. I stopped by a jeep dealership and the body of the jeep seemed to sit higher than my Tacoma's, but the frame was clearly lower on the Gladiator.
@@boskobear At least with the Honda and the Frontier they're assembled in America by non-union workers. If you buy an American truck make sure it's assembled in Canada as American union workers have no pride in their work.
hard to believe how expensive trucks have gotten, my first truck that I bought new from a dealer in 1990 was just over $12,000 was a Toyota, in 2004 i bought a new Ford Ranger 4x4 for around $19,000, btw that Toyota i sold in 2009 had almost 400K miles on original engine and drive line and was still running when I finely sold it. Best vehicle I've ever owned.
97 Sport Tj and 2019 Toyota TRD tacoma, the Tacoma is by far the best out of these. Unreal off road, and reliability. I’m a Jeep guy and I don’t like the new jeeps, especially the Jeep truck. Reason is reliability, price and culture change.
Reliability is great for the Toyota but that is just one part of the equation. No way to say the Taco is "by far" the best out there when the Chevy is a better daily driver, has more power, and comes more equipped for off road out of the box with it's locking differentials and sway bar disconnect standard on the ZR2 and Bison.
Awesome video! Do you know what I would love to see? You guys doing a test of full-size trucks and how they pull the black series campers. Like a real off-road set up with a real off-road camper would be an amazing thing to see reviewed from somebody other than the guys selling them. Thanks for always putting out awesome videos!
Would be nice if Toyota actually put decent off road tires on there truck. Might as well add another $1500 on to the Tacoma. It's nice that the zr2 comes with the duratrac
I know it is safe to hit like as soon as I see it's a Stephen video. The man never disappoints and should be a product tester that is paid by the manufacturers to test for weak points in designs.
I saw the same thing this summer, got my 2019 trd OR right at 40k, they had a Pro on the floor with the oem snorkel and a bed cover for less than 5k more. Thought about it for a minute but decided against it in the end. Unless you mean they jacked up the price based on paint color alone?? I'd give 'em hell for that. I gave the guy hell for the optional 300 dollar floormats and those ~700 dollar side steps. Told the guy I built what I wanted on Toyota's website and optional accessories are exactly that, optional, and that I didn't want any. Manager came out and I had to explain to the guy that it's not a Lamborghini
I just don't get it? Why Toyota doesn't change those stupid tires on Toyota Tacoma, and why car review companies trying to compare with same tiers with other group. I know it is comes from manufactur, but we all off roe ders know tires are important, doesn't matter what brand you are, it is not going to work.
I replaced the SUV tires on my 2019 Pro Tundra a couple months after buying it with BFG TKO 2's - 275/70/18 . I agree a true test would be have the same tire on all tested trucks. Some of the videos are more of a tire test then vehicle test.
I’m amazed! I know that I’m not rocking the 4WD but my 19’ Tacoma SR5 real world pay load beats all three of these trucks at 1200 lbs and of course having a 2WD my fuel economy combined is 22 mpg at 19 city and 24 hwy..most of the time I get 23 to 24 mpg in a combination of city and hwy driving!
I’d take the Chevy and not being biased I had a Tacoma 3 years before my Chevy and it has a bunch of annoying issues! Holds value but it still has its share of problems.
I've got a '21 Bison - it's a great truck - the ride off road - especially at speed, is amazing. I don't care about towing capacity, this is an off road truck, not a tow truck. I'd rather have a nice suspension and low tow rating than high tow rating and firm suspension.
Not sure why you don’t have the Ford in this comparison. We purchased a 2019 Ranger XLT with the FX4 and towing packages (lightning blue) for just over $40,000 Canadian. We have put 7000 kms on it and love the truck. We test drove all these trucks but went with the ranger because it had better numbers (towing, payload and price) and was the most comfortable. I am 6’3’ and could hardly get into the Toyota. Is there a reason why there is no Ranger or Frontier?
In defense of the Gladiator pricing, the Rubicon drive train and suspension is on a completely different level than the other two trucks. I’m not happy about it but it is a much better 4WD in rough situations.
this. everyone seems to forget how expensive it is to actually produce a solid axle vehicle these days, and to provide HD parts that arent used on any other vehicle the manufacture offers....The Jeep just isnt cheap to build, but its built that way for a reason.

Lots of them in Texas but mostly for ranch trucks. The issue is price difference between gas and diesel. Diesel was for years considered as primarily a commercial truck fuel for 18 wheelers so they added extra taxes to it under the guise of causing more road damage due to weight so truckers have been paying a larger amount of road repair costs. And for a long time the difference in fuel efficiency between the two coupled with the higher cost for diesel fuel just want worth it. That's starting to change to the point it can make sense to get a diesel now, they are also far quieter then what they used to be and that helps. For jeep it's a $5,000 upgrade to get the diesel and a little more fuel economy. But that fuel economy is lost due to the upgrade and increased fuel costs. Now if fuel economy isn't a factor but great low end torque and longevity of the engine are for off roading then the diesel is a great choice. At least should be. I am not real confident in FCA reliability and if the next merger goes through I fear even less reliability. And no manual transmission offered with the diesel upgrade, Americans are kinda soft when it comes to shifting gears. Take the easy route. I myself drove a stick until four years ago when my trusty Nissan hard body finally gave out. I miss that shift knob and truck.
crj moto same here, my 2003 dodge Dakota has been paid off for 10 years now. Whatever breaks on I fix it and keep on trucking. There is no way in hell that I will spend 50k on a new truck. To be honest my next truck will be , and I don’t care what anyone says about it , 2009 2010 Honda Ridgeline.

No effing way the Jeep gets 22mpg highway. Chrysler tests the sport version with the lowest numerical ratio diff then goes with that. They were already caught by TFL doing that with the Rebel.
The numbers are so close in almost every categories that it’s just not a real difference. Maybe towing? Maybe clearance numbers? Best to pick on taste/style.
Great video and good tip for truck buyers to look in the door jam, for me though while it’s not prettiest and while not as reliable as the Taco, these are off-road trucks and the Gladiator gives you the best blend of off-road and towing.

You can get full size truck with pretty much the same fuel economy for the same price.
Mina Haroun that’s a 4 cylinders Colorado tho
As much as I like the idea of the gladiator, Jeep over priced it for me. For 2 grand less you can get a fully loaded power wagon
Buy a tacoma it will last you 85 years

Tony Hightower I think you are confusing the Canadian and US Prices- 68k for the gladiator was Canadian $. Trust me I think the gladiator is overpriced too, but not in loaded pw territory.
Adam Harriger just in well equipped PW territory.
Von Wagner Agreed- if only the pw roof came off!
No midsize truck looks as good as the Tacoma trd Pro. After all these years I would still take the Tacoma any day over any other midsize truck. I just love this truck so much.
Too bad you do not get rhe Hilux Diesel there
@@robertryan7204 I’ll never understand why either.
And it’ll be in a junkyard worth nothing in 3 years. Awesome job at wasting $55,000 to satisfy your small penis complex.
You’re comparing a full sized half ton Chrysler to midsize mostly gasser group that won’t lose resale like your glorified Fiat.
Mountain Hobbler That sunroofs probably already leaking lol
Compared to the two Tacomas I previously owned, my 2018 TRD Off-Road was a major disappointment. In town or on the dirt, it was fine. At freeway speeds especially climbing, it was constantly hunting gears and struggled to keep the speed up. Plus it guzzled gas. The 3rd gen Tacoma engine/tranny combination sucked. I traded it for a 2020 diesel Bison. The Bison has power to spare and 40%+ better fuel economy.
Once you tune it for 200 bucks hunting gears is gone
I get 26 miles highway and 21 city in my ZR2 V6 and loving it
Jeep is the clear winner here. It is the most expensive but you get what you pay for. Best OFF- ROADER , best payload, best towing, best axle / crawl ratios. Disconnectable sway bars for best articulation also straight axles front and rear.
Who is the fastest to the repair shop? My guess is 1st place Jeep, 2nd Place Chevy and last place is the Taco in 3rd.
Danny Bechamp are you talking about rusted out frames?your right Toyota is the winner, Toyota = garbage.

Ryan Bevilacqua you have obviously never owned a modern Toyota. I’ve owned all three brands. The Jeep and Chevy aren’t even close in build quality, reliability and resale. The Tacoma is also the cheapest. You will lose so much buying the others in resale and repairs.
A Taco with a 6-speed manual is the way to go
I get tired of stop and go clutch ins only to immediately feather the clutch to get going again in traffic. I have motorcycles from rockets to cruisers. Sometimes it’s nice not have to babysit gears. Also on the trails it’s way more smooth to crawl with an auto.
@C-Bomb nah the 6 speed tacos are lit especially off roading
roxy dog yes sir! We are the 5 percent!
@@verynearlypure i agree for daily use an automatic is where its at, but as far as off roading, manual is way better especially down hill, 1 gear in manual CREEPS an automatic will eventually pick up speed.

Trd pro number 1. Yes #1
The MPG reported is from the Manufacture, real world with my 17 ZR2 V6 is 15/23 after a gear swap to 4.10's
I've been getting 20-23 highway in my gasser zr2. When I had the diesel zr2 I was getting 28mpg highway
Only thing that matters is the Toyota will be running strong in 5-10 years with its value still strong.
What are you talking about? All my jeeps have made it past 150k with no issues and the car with highest resale value is in fact a Jeep (wrangler)
I got the Gladiator Mojave can't say enough about it The best truck I ever owned

Yes. TFL/TFL TRUCK is sponsored and therefore compromised. They are unable to give a true review or administer a true test without the express permission of the manufacturer. I noticed this after watching their videos objectively.
This kid and the bald chubby guy aren't bad though
There is nothing in this video that couldn't be found on any specifications/data website out there (including the manufacturer websites). I was hoping for maybe a snowy hill climb test and stopping distance test...or at least a comparison of the cargo space and how you would fit a weekend's worth of gear in the back. I have friends who drive all three, and I was about to share it with them so they could fight over the results...but there isn't much content here.
Toyota's overrated lol
Thumbs up if for no other reason than TFL is FINALLY showing the door jam sticker when talking about payload capacity and towing numbers.

I love my 2011 Taco SR5 4x4 4.0l quad cab. I wouldn't trade it for either...
Someone mentioned the absence of weight in the numbers. I agree that adding weigh and the power-to-weight ratio for both curb weight and GVWR, assuming maximum payload, would add clarity to the power question. Good, fact based review.
I’ll take the regular zr2 with the duramax engine, the rest of the money is for mods
Based solely on what I see, I think the Bison is better suited for rock crawling and water fording. I think the regular ZR2 is probably better in every other off road aspect.
The advantage of buying it that way from the dealer is that if you get in an accident, insurance will cover all the mods
Yep, gotta say that’s not a bad way to go. The zr2 with the baby duramax is pretty sweet.

With the payload ratings on all three, you won’t be towing more than 5k lbs. with two people and a small amount of gear.

I'll definitely go for the Tacoma anytime!!!!!!

nepafu666 the numbers speak for themselves
I’d take the Chevy and not being biased I had a Tacoma 3 years before my Chevy and it has a bunch of annoying issues! Holds value but it still has its share of problems.
I've got a '21 Bison - it's a great truck - the ride off road - especially at speed, is amazing. I don't care about towing capacity, this is an off road truck, not a tow truck. I'd rather have a nice suspension and low tow rating than high tow rating and firm suspension.
If you want your truck to run after 25 years with 400k miles on it you get the Tacoma.
After you replace the frame 2x
There won't be anything left of the frame after 10 years! Lol.
Except those who got the 3.0 and any frame they made since 2010 and back
Great quality video bud. Just ordered my 2021 try pro in LR a couple weeks ago
Hand shown the Chevy looks the best
Not sure why you don’t have the Ford in this comparison. We purchased a 2019 Ranger XLT with the FX4 and towing packages (lightning blue) for just over $40,000 Canadian. We have put 7000 kms on it and love the truck. We test drove all these trucks but went with the ranger because it had better numbers (towing, payload and price) and was the most comfortable. I am 6’3’ and could hardly get into the Toyota.
Is there a reason why there is no Ranger or Frontier?
The ZR2 is plain just a better all around truck great on road manners
that can really off road .
Greatt video, thanks for the hard work!
Wonder which truck will fetch the best resale value?
Jeep
First inclination is to say the 'yota, but Wranglers hold their value quite well too. No reason to think the Gladiators won't as well.
trashmeign Granted ranglers do hold their value well but if i remember correctly fast lane did a top 10 best resale value and tacoma was #1 with jeep at 2nd place.
zeleni zub see above. jeep fanboy.
@@nbaldo003 i wuld always buy Tacoma (if i could fit in one) over jeep but i am just realistic.
Let's go with what truck will still be running in 100k miles
*immediately sees a Tacoma, Colorado, and Gladiator at the same mechanic
It won't be the Toyota: www.google.co.cr/search?hl=es&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1536&bih=767&ei=n5MtXK--EMmv5wLonLKIBA&q=toyota+rust+recall&oq=To&gs_l=img.1.0.35i39j0l9.5213.5831..9433...0.0..0.118.231.0j2......1....1..gws-wiz-img.....0.ZzRqwaNRQec. Did you see that? lol. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Taco! Mine has almost 250k lol
The Bison option actually lowers departure and approach angles. That front bumper does not have the cut outs for tire clearance. So the bison is in reality less off road capable than the stock Z r2
I would take the Toyota over all of them. They run forever!
Are you kidding? Take a look at this, click on every model button, and think about it: www.google.co.cr/search?hl=es&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1536&bih=767&ei=n5MtXK--EMmv5wLonLKIBA&q=toyota+rust+recall&oq=To&gs_l=img.1.0.35i39j0l9.5213.5831..9433...0.0..0.118.231.0j2......1....1..gws-wiz-img.....0.ZzRqwaNRQec. What do you think now? lol. Greetings from Costa Rica.
What do you think about buying a manual Tacoma?
I'll keep my cheap reliable frontier, thank you...
I find it funny the frontier STILL has more torque than all of these and is an old platform.
Still like the chain saw?, every time someone mentioned something I used to have,,,, well shit! I start missing it with severe sadness😥but I am an Irish prick 🍀🇺🇸🙏🍀.... ain’t this fun?
Good video! We get the Holden Colorado here in Australia in diesel only. Why aren’t diesels as popular in the states/Canada??
melias67 At least where I live gas is like 2$ while diesel is about 2.80/90
Lots of them in Texas but mostly for ranch trucks.
Emissions
Americans like power and gas is cheaper than diesel
We have a Duramax diesel engine option for the Colorado
Great vid but these "new truck" vids make me so grateful for my old (nearly paid off) truck. Keepin old Betsy forever lol
crj moto same here, my 2003 dodge Dakota has been paid off for 10 years now. Whatever breaks on I fix it and keep on trucking. There is no way in hell that I will spend 50k on a new truck. To be honest my next truck will be , and I don’t care what anyone says about it , 2009 2010 Honda Ridgeline.
@@mstachura76 Let me know when you're ready to sell that 2003 Dakota! Ha ha. 2007 FJ here. I may pick up some fun, cheap side-rides, but like you said - fix it and keep it is a darn smart idea nowadays.
When i was 15 years old trucks used to cost $15,000.00 to $25,000.00 or $30,000.00 in a 20 year period the pay rate has only come up a few dollars but the price for everything has come up tripled on cost.
$68,000! I think I’d just go for a 2019 Laramie Longhorn 2500 for an extra $7,000
Garbage👎
I wish people would stop using the Bison edition for comparison - it’s an Overland model Colorado. The ZR2 is the true Chevy competitor in this segment.
i’ll stick with my taco. gm and jeep may have a few things special but so does the tacoma. especially when it comes to reliable. i spend my money wisely
Total price for my new 2019 ZR2 Duramax (Diesel) was
$38,600. Just an FYI. No trade in etc.... Straight buy!
Drove the TRD Pro and Zr2. For ME the ZR2 was an all around better truck in every category that mattered to me. Never drove a gladiator so I can’t speak competently about it. All 3 seem like great vehicles. I think it depends on the individual buyer. I absolutely love my Colorado.
The only vehicle here worth the price is the Tacoma, everything else is inflated bs
I am amazed they give you vehicles to test like this! I hope you get to continue this type of testing! Great job!
And now... let’s talk about reliability!
At the number one we have Toyotaaaa!
At the number two we have Chevyyyy!
At the number three and last Jeeeep!
Thank you, thank you, I take the Tacoma so I know I will make it home!!! LOL
As Toyota has another massive recall, lol!
Doc Holliday I still take Toyota thank you
No effing way the Jeep gets 22mpg highway.
I would have thought the mpg would be better. Same as my full size 4x4 ext cab. Nice review.
Id take the Gladiator. It would be worth something in 10yrs. Can you believe a better investment..?
Great video and good tip for truck buyers to look in the door jam, for me though while it’s not prettiest and while not as reliable as the Taco, these are off-road trucks and the Gladiator gives you the best blend of off-road and towing.
