I never understood why people compare vehicle manufacturers of vehicles that have modified so heavily. After a point it doesn’t resemble how manufacturer made it anyway.
They are both modified very heavily 🤷♂️
@@DirtGaragemaybe he was considering true IFS vs Solid axle?
@TheHitSquadOffroad Haha yeah, but wasn't the point of the video 🤣
@@DirtGarage I dig your Taco, but when most people think Taco vs. JT they are thinking IFS vs. straight axle. Once you SAS a modern day Taco it's not really a good Toyota vs Jeep comparison but a rig vs. rig compsrison because the Yota is now setup just like a Jeep. Now if the Taco was setup like Nate from Dirt Lifestyle and was compared to the white JT with I believe 37s would be a better comparison in my opinion. But your Taco is pretty well built rig and hats off to you.
@@TheHitSquadOffroad Yeah if you take it that way I guess. But this was never meant to be comparing stock to stock, in fact its not really a comparison video at all, just wheeling with Jeeps and Toyotas..
Such a great build ❤
Love the channel man !
Brooooooo.... You created a BEAST.... That bad boy did those obstacles the best especially the last obstacle. Great job. Keep these videos coming🎉
Great clearance- awesome approach and departure angles !
This really shows what a massive advantage the solid axle has over the ifs. That 4 runner was struggling
The 4Runner had significantly smaller tires.
Awesome video! The whipsaw claims another tail light! What an incredible rig you built buddy.
Great episode man! As always
The taco is an animal! Im so proud of the work you put in. It clearly pays off. More Fenix pls.
Some nice lookin rigs there
Awesome channel I hope I find you on the trails one day.
No matter what, you win, you built it yourself, there's 1 of us S.A.Swap Tacoma's to every million, maybe billion jeeps (Don't anyone get mad, it's just the truth & I'm a jeep guy driving a Toyota with a Jeep axle 😂) And the main reason for you winning overall, you didn't spend 200,000$$ + American , on your rig! With us blue collar working stiffs , that's a winner in my book, great video, you're one of the only people that hasn't completely sold out, keep on keeping it real and muddy brother!
great job on the build ,have fun
That was fun to watch! Great job 🤙🏽
You had the best rig hands down. Way more flex and you built yours with your own hands not bought.
Respect !! 🙏
You're a wicked advertisement for the Martec kit! Truck works so good dude! And looks good too... The front end swap is killer.
It has turned out awesome buddy. Now I want to do mine so I'm gathering parts 😂
Great video. It's so cool to watch ya'll from oklahoma and be able to say hello 👋 have a great week and can't wait for the next video to drop 👍
Putting a solid front axle on a Taco is a great mod, it basically makes it a Jeep.
Such good footage!
Dang, that looked like a lot of fun!
Great Job and the one ton Taco Bro! Proof you don't need a 125K+ rig like Shawn & Casey to enjoy offroading!
Stay Safe!
totally agree. that and being the toyo was built at home and I believe the other where handed over to a professional shot to be done.
I mean they are damn near equal value.
Wait what? 😆 you think that Tacoma was cheap??
I love the tacooo its awesome. But it would be nice to see the 4runner too
Good stuff!👍
The ultimate showdown!!
Very nice build. Love the head to head with the gladiator.
That Tacoma is a beast damn
great channel, this video was awesome !
taco is looking awesome!
To be honest I think the rig built a home verses the ones who had their rigs built for them by a shop is the winners
That's what I was thinking, with how modified these vehicles are..other than looks and the VIN is it really a Tacoma vs a Gladiator? A stock VS stock comparison would make more sense. Either way, fun video
Tacoma making it look easy. That was a great vid
Very nice build.
Great job on you build very cool truck
Looked like a good time! You should grab their compressor so you don't burn up the locker one plus the 10cfm will get it done way faster on those 40's.haha
Yeah the compressor was HOT after 🤣
Nice saucy soft taco, not even a bit crunchy. Nice build!
Sick ass build! 🔥🔥
Good build, I think you need a weak swaybar up front and more flex in the rear.
The Tacoma is SOOOOO much cooler than all the other vehicles there.
That Tacoma is a MONSTER!
Toyota looked good! It definitely out wheeled my gladiator on 37s!!
yea no crap hes on 4Ds and youre not... plus all three of those gladdys are way heavier and loaded up with all that Starbucks REI gear/junk... nice yoda build keep going! more newer yoder enthusiasts need to take notes from this guy and ditch that IFS Kyle stuff.
Good ole Whipsaw!
A Taco with a Jeep wheel articulation, pretty badass.
Just realized your taco has 3rd gen front and 2nd gen rear. Is it the engine 3rd gen or 2nd gen?
Its a 2010, engine is a 4.0 from 2nd gen.
Stoked to see it in action. Nice work buddy. Even more stoked to get out and wheel with you one day 🥲👏🏼
Does that Tacoma have a solid front axle?
dude your taco is a monster!!!
Awesome video, your taco is one capable truck, is there a v8 swap in the future?
Im new here, im confused lol is this a 3rd Gen or 2nd gen? 😅😅😊
Lets do a built ifs taco vs built sas taco video when mine is done!!!
A $150,000 gladiator on 40’s vs a 4runner who skipped maybe 3 obstacles, and was on 33’s. Let’s be real here. 😂 (no high five & no tilt a whirl)
Tacoma on 33’s pretty much goes everywhere ahhhh Tacoma with SAS on 40’s forget about it, it’s unstoppable!
I like the straight axle. 👍 hard to find on the third gen tacos.
Hard to find already done. Easy to do yourself.
Hey does that inflate system take 4x the time? or does it actually save time. Otherwise you're still walking around to all four and hooking them up.
Saves a bunch of time.
@@DirtGarageI think the next question is do you buy them for everyone else in your crew so you're not just waiting on them anyway lol
Honestly the Toyota tacoma is the best pick up truck ever ❤
Was*
Sean has a lot of problems with his lockers not working on various trips lol. Does he need better lockers?
wait i have a question can a toyota truck tacuma can they have a 40 inch tire on them or no cause i want a truck with 40 inch tire for offroading i live in a country where there is offroad in my place so i wasnt sure if the tacuma can have a 40 inch tire or not hope to hear it back:)
I'm not hating as I love all trucks and I've have had 02 Tacoma and 3 Rubicons {2 two doors and now a Gladiator}. Glad to see the Yoda's with straight axles for sure. I also have a Polaris razor HL and can say independent work great on light buggies, but suck on these heavy vehicles on off camber down hill descents. Sure there are pros and cons on everything, but I'll take a straight axile any day.
That taco year came straight axcels?
Nope. I swapped it
The tacomas come with independent front suspension?
Originally yes
@@DirtGarage what did you do to yours?
@@rayadorick Put tons and 40s under it?
Taco, the Jeep Recovery vehicle.
I had a Tacoma TRD 2019 and put a three inch lift on it and had to trim the f out of the front wheel to get no rubbing and was getting around 13mpg with 33s and a 3 inch lift with a transmission that shifted all the time like the New Mexico weather. This truck was lackluster and trash. Traded it in for a ZR2 diesels Colorado and that too was a step up. But let me tell you . Traded that in for a 21 Gladiator Rubicon and put a 3 inch lift with 37s and a metal bumper and winch and stock gearing. This thing shits on every modified truck i have had in the past. This Taco with the front solid axle built like a beast and done nicely. Good job brothers. This thing is a monster.
Sensacional..
You whipped em!
Beast of a Tacoma u got there. Although it's more of a jeep now than it is a Toyota 😅
Not a single jeep part on it 🤷♂️
@@DirtGarage Not a single Toyota part left either 😆 jk
@@SanctumOfDreams Could say the same about the gladiators, both on tons and 40s, and Casey's even has long arms. so even suspension mounts are cut and new ones welded on.
Toyota tacoma power baby awesome Job
Them woods is haunted.
The gladiator is just awesome and looks cool
A client I have a question for you, brother, why didn't you get an LSV 8 put in that I'm just wondering? Would it not fit I'm not a Toyota guy, I'm a Jeep guy but I watch your channel a lot so I'm just wondering. Did you not want to go with AV8 or will they not fit in those new tacos, I'm not trying to be ignorant. I just figured you'd wanna put more horsepower under your hood and more torque, that's all.
what year is that tacoma?
2010
La mejor de todas sin duda la Toyota Tacoma
Toyota looks real good
Dang, that's a sweet Jeep. I get the Hillux and all, but as a civilian I just would never buy a cheap Japanese truck. My buddy has a Tundra and he likes it but just not for me.
I just bought a swapped 5th gen 4runner
i would have bought a morrflate but they don't ship to Canada
Really? I'll talk to them about that!
looks like this fixed it i ordered a set @@DirtGarage
I want to buy these types of vehicle in my hometown because of road 😂
badass but is it even a tacoma anymore lol
Of course it is
didn't use enough rev limiter ;)
Good car
Hello. How much will it cost to buy and make a copy of the same car as yours and send it to Russia????
clickbait vs title when all the vehicles are on different size tires
There was other vehicles there yes. But the sizes of tires or builds in general are not mentioned in the title.
Taco truck for the win!!
👍
Highly modified Taco vs mostly stock Gladiator??
*heavily modified Tacoma vs stock gladiator*
VS Heavily Modified Gladiator.. They dont come with v8s, tons and 40s. Nice try though!
Now i know that toyota Revo 2021 is look like toyota Tacoma from front 🥰
It's a 2010 Tacoma, with a 2016+ Tacoma front clip.
@@DirtGarage I did not expect....but in Europe they always get , but in Europe, they first have the latest Toyota design, after that it's the Asian part
Is it me or does the Tacoma start as a 3rd gen and ends as a 2nd gen?
Mo money, less problems?
IDK, just my .02 ...
Power mopar power jeep's💪
It's kind of unfair for the Jeep since the Tacoma has a SAS.
Why? They are the now the same?
@@DirtGarage It was sarcasm hahaha
Toyota is going to win all the rounds because Shauns front locker didn’t work. One sided for sure
toyo the best
To the Tacoma owner, put 300 lbs in the bed of the truck!!!! more traction!
The only thing this proves is that toyota should have made these solid axles from the factory. No one is doing an IFS swap to a gladiator
Depends on the platform you like. I like the Toyota platform and enjoy cutting them up. These jeeps are more modified than the Toyota with tons and big v8 engines 🤣
That Tacoma was probably $45k built or less, another $20k for the gladiators
All in the Tacoma was about 10K. Including the price of the truck 🤣
Tacoma look good
4 cylinder trucks don't sell.
Lost me when he said patina just say faded please
HUUUGE 7:33
😲5 people are standing with cameras and they can’t take a proper video.
Those who film on camera need to stand and film from the FRONT
Maybe Casey will get some hp for his rig so he can actually participate 😂👍
super modified toyota vs white stock jeep gladiator 😅😅
Gladiators in the thumbnail and in this video are certainly heavily modified. More so than the Taco. They are in tons and 40s, plus big v8s. There is 1 mostly stock one yes
@@DirtGarage now get a gfc camper for the taco , that’ll bee sweet ,
You tacos are funny.... selective editing and different line choices to make it look like gladiators are struggling
Nope. No selective editing here, and I went for the hard lines each time. The trucks just a beast.
@@DirtGarage no doubt. Those gladiators are beasts too though....
