Just as an aside when you mentioned 'people getting into League' at the start, I figure I'd share my thoughts for a bit. I tried getting into LoL a while ago during the whole TFT craze, and instead of just playing at my own pace I was already off to the races trying to 'get good' by trying (and mostly having a hard time with) Mobalytics guides and trying to learn the big details because the PvP nature made me think I should REALLY try to 'get good' before I queued for anything other than a Bot training match. The game just seemed so complex and with so many nuances and matchups that I wasn't sure how to really get into it, even if it just mostly comes from some practice and inevitable gamesense from playing long enough. The one time I tried to play a real game my team won but I was super embarrassed by my performance so I just quit League and left it at that. I've always had a sort of paralyzing 'fear' of PvP games, especially team-based ones, and the idea that I'd just mess things up for everyone else. That definitely lead me to shy away from wanting to try anymore. When Pokemon Unite came out I decided to give the whole concept a go again, and with its more simplistic gameplay I found it a lot easier to get into. I started watching Unite content while dipping my toes into the PvP matches here and there. I watched a few channels and re-discovered this one (one of the reasons I tried league in the past) through the Unite content, and it's been fun revisiting the League videos especially with Ross's fun personality. I've been building my confidence to at least try multiplayer stuff again thanks to Unite, and all the 'Mathematically Correct' and 'Algebraically Attempted' videos have had me watching more and more league content to the point where I'm tempted to at least try playing again. I feel like these videos definitely help garner interest in the game as a whole, I've found myself occasionally watching other league content now and then as well, and it looks pretty fun. All the rambling aside, I just wanted to say: thanks Ross! Definitely an entertaining content creator, and I appreciate what you do. I'm sure I and at least a few others are wanting to check out the game more than ever thanks to your work.
On one hand I pity you new players, you guys are running against the current, in a game with an old ass meta that has a new coat of paint applied to it every week or so. On another hand, you guys are entering on one of the most fun seasons of league since season 2 (wasn't there for it, got in at season 6). Season 11 is filled with flashy stuff, the new items are awesome, and believe me, the game CAN be incredibly fun if you learn the art of not giving a fuck, both about your performance and the one of your teammates. PS:When you feel mechanically adjusted, I reccomend getting into build-making, it's REALLY fun, as the algebraically series may have shown you. Blade of the ruined king singed is my favorite gem, but I'm sure you can cook your own special concoction of absolute mald ;)

We know what we should be doing but lack the game skill to pull it off or just are too nervous and trying to do everything perfectly from the start. It's like when you start a new job, eventually you just have to jump in the deep end and figure things out or you will never get anything done. Personally I enjoy watching LoL more than playing it but i'm having a ton of fun in Pokemon Unite.

To anyone looking to play Nunu mid, Ross plays him a bit incorrectly; the point isn’t to win lane, but to use your fully charged w on the caster minions (it’ll one shot them), clear the wave, and then perma-roam. LoL Dobby has a great video on it.
Love seeing these builds especially by new players, I remember when I use to theory-craft builds all the time but as I got more familiar with the meta I slowly started to do them less. I might try a crazy build after this, will let you know how it goes.

Recommended in Jungle so that you can gain maximum value out of taking crystals and terrorize the enemy jungler.
As an AP Nunu main that hit gold and was ranked top 10 in NA at the start of the season when I spammed him in rank 🤓, I recommend Ludens/Night Harvester as the Mythic Item instead, and run him in jgl as well. Also, going Dark Harvest, Cheap Shot, and Relentless Hunter as well as taking speed sorc runes secondary. I can almost guarantee that, just with w Max, you’ll always do, at bare minimum, 700 dmg, with just w and NH. Late Game tho, you’ll end up doing about 2440 dmg with r alone and full build

Here's a take that a lot of people probably do not know.. A lot of metas were NOT discovered by the top tier players in, say, Korea or any of the other servers. A lot of super 'meta' builds were discovered by lower ranked players and then taken to high elo bu higher ranked players. Be experimental! Try new things. Have no fear.
