Thank You so much for this amazing and helpful information about Clear Program , We are almost on process to have first experience on global entry and we will sign up for clear as well. Thank You so much Laurie. Have wonderful next trip 🙌👏🧳✈
I enrolled in Clear many years ago when I lived in New Jersey & finished my enrolling (fingerprints & iris scanning) in New Jersey. I completely forgot about them since I got TSA PreCheck. I went online using your login information & they still had all my stuff saved & all I had to do is update my password & personal information. Thank you for the reminder. I cannot believe they still have my stuff!!!
CLEAR is wonderful. I've just got my significant other in on it, too. Between CLEAR, Pre-Check and Global Entry, having numerous means of clearing security much faster is so nifty.
This sounds really interesting to me. We love having TSA precheck and Global Entry, and this seems no more intrusive to me. The cost is a bit high, but for a frequent traveler, the time savings would be worth it.
Why does this seem kind of scary to me? Scanning my eyeball - very Minority Report! Thanks for keeping us up to date on the latest technologies! Last thing, you need to have your mask over your nose to be protected 😷😄
I know; for some reason I thought I needed to pull it waaaayyyy down to get scanned. I do get severely lightheaded with a mask covering all of my nose though, but in the video it was way down. Thank you for watching!
M S55, no need to call anyone an idiot. While the mask doesn’t necessarily protect the person wearing it, it does help to protect the other people the mask wearer comes into contact with. I am a mask wearer whenever I am in a situation where I cannot guarantee that the 2 metre or 6 foot safety distance will be maintained out of respect for others and I would appreciate the same consideration shown to me and all the other mask wearers. If you can’t or won’t do that for no reason please do everyone a favour and stay home. I am not talking to Those of you who that have a medical reason for not wearing the mask, although, for your own safety limiting your time in crowds or situations where you are not in control of your surroundings might be a good ideaCovid is not a joke. It is a worldwide pandemic. It is no longer targeting just seniors or the infirm.
I have a question: Everything I read about Clear said that you could choose between the eye scan OR fingerprints, but when I actually signed up to pay for Clear online, Clear says that I must give them both my fingerprints AND my irises; they can have my fingerprints (they already gave them), but not my irises. What is the truth?
Thanks, this is such good information to have. I did not know what Clear was until your video. My husband and I are planning a trip in November so we will definitely be signing up for this program. I love all you videos because they have been so helpful in demonstrating effective ways to pack and getting around in the airport and on the planes in general.
Wow! This is very interesting, getting to the front of the line at the TSA screening? Fabulous. I will have to check into this for sure, thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention.
Thank you so much for this. I was going to sign up before the pandemic when I was flying back home to NJ from Orlando. I'll definitely sign my family up now! I should've already done it since I'm a global entry passenger.
I can't believe I have never heard of Clear before your video & I consider myself pretty up to date on all things travel related. Thank you for sharing this information. I am very afraid of touching anything outside of my own home.
I have noticed them in airports for a couple of years and never had the guts to walk up to an ambassador to inquire. I am really glad I got this. Thanks for watching!!
Just looked into this...I already have Global entry, but will get clear as well, but once we are cleared to travel internationally again, otherwise I'm paying for something I can't use... Also, if you're a United member they have different pricing options... Thanks for this video!
Flew February/March from Cincinnati to Orlando. Saw the kiosk at Cincinnati, but on the return flight signed up. Was as easy as you said. Just got a bill and placed it on hold. We aren’t traveling till May next year. Will reactivate then. I didn’t know about the travel partners, will look into it. Live your videos!
Very informative. Still not sure if I want my iris or finger prints scanned, but that's just me. I'll probably change my mind as we walk the aisle again. Also you know how I feel about the mask. We need to wash our hands, not pick our nose or touch our eyes & cover our cough. In other words common sense and common courtesy. Maybe we need a "must wear shoes on flight" rule....no shirt, no shoes, no service~
Thank you so much for your valuable information. We are going to Costa Rica in September and staying at Riu Guanacaste that is if everything is good with the pandemic. So the Clear info is really good
Another amazing wealth of information!!! As I am a Travel Advisor, I will definitely be sharing this tip with my clients Thank you But I do have one question, what about those passengers who wear contacts?
Great question! I would message @clear on Instagram or on their site: clearme.com but I also wondered about people who get cataract surgery. As contacts are clear, I would think they would not affect it; plus so many people wear them. Thank you for watching and sharing.
I've used Clear for years and I've been very happy with it. Coupled with TSA Pre Check, it is a breeze! Love your videos, but make sure your mask is on correctly!!!!
A good video would be your experience at the airport, from parking to walking in, getting your boarding pass or whatever you guys do, the amount of people, was everyone masked, what the flight was like, did you use the restroom in the airport and/or on the flight? I would really appreciate knowing all this stuff, you know the normal stuff we do when flying. Thanks
If it's not free then no thank you. You pay enough for your flights without extra! I think I'd rather just go through the airport lines the usual way, albeit with the new rules in place. I'm not paranoid about touching stuff, having carried on working through the pandemic and touching all manner of surfaces without any gloves on. Washed my hands constantly and still here to tell the tale ! I've always carried a bottle of hand sanitiser with me to use on planes and trains anyway, and washed my hands, will just be ultra careful in future.
Yes, if you do not fly very often, it may not be worth it. Way to live life!! Hope to see you on a flight one day...and we can shake hands! Thank you for watching!
I am one of the many who wear one contact. I was told it will work/won't work depending on which airport I am in. It has to date not worked for me in any airport and I must do my prints. Still.....I do like clear. If I ever lose my ID prior to a flight, I could still fly. Thanks for doing the video, I am debating renewing this. I fly out of MCO and SLC and my wait for TSA is always less than 5 minutes so I need to weight the value.
They didn’t make you remove food out your stuff and also that if your bag get pull to a side they will just check it and swab. They just tell you to remove laptop and liquid
