    TSA website states that bug repellent can be a carry on item under 3.4 ounces as long as it is not aerosol.
    Lithium battery portable chargers are fine as long as they are under 100 WH (Watt Hours). SN: The Away suitcases original design has been updated and now the battery just pops out when you eject it.

      Lithium batteries are allowed onboard as carry on baggage as long as they meet the following criteria:
      1. a.
      Spare Batteries with a watt hour (wh) rating under 100wh can be brought on board in unlimited quantities.
      b. Maximum of 2 indivually protected spare batteries over 100wh up to 160wh are allowed pending approval by airline gate agents.
      2. Batteries must be protected against short circuits. If a metal object contacts the terminals on the battery it can cause a short circuit. To prevent this from happening, put a small piece of electrical tape over both the positive and negative terminals and place the battery in a plastic bag. If the original packaging the battery came in is still available, use it! If the battery is installed in a device like a camera, ensure that the device is protected from being turned on accidentally.

    Correction. Aruba allows you to bring alcohol into the country. "Aruba Customs regulations allow incoming visitors to bring articles for personal use. Persons 19 and over can also bring in 2.25 liters of wine, 3 liters of beer, or 1 liter of liquor".
    I brought two bottles of our own Gin with us to Aruba. We packed it in our checked-in bags.

    Years ago I used to fly regularly between Stavanger in Norway and London Heathrow. At Stavanger in the checkin there was a sign in Norwegian which roughly translated as:
    FISH. Do not put fish in checked baggage as if there is a delay it can cause corrosion of the airframe and a terrible smell in the hold.

    Laurie, when I travel to certain places in Europe, I find that often hotel linen does not include a washcloth. I like to, especially if I'm moving around and staying in lots of different places, buy a pack of really thin washcloths at Dollar Tree. I use one wherever I am, then throw it away when I am leaving one hotel for another.

      Angie Nwigwe It’s within the law and liquid limits to bring on an aircraft. There is reason why I can’t bring my own. They give you the same exact liquor sizes on the plane. I know that’s why they didn’t say anything. It’s like bringing your own candy to the movies. Who cares?

    When you fly on a small enough domestic aircraft that there is no security check, and the only scanner is for your boarding pass.

  • @awinky24
    @awinky24 6 лет назад +18

    While a lot of these tips are helpful, this video is full of inaccuracies. A family member of mine works in TSA scanning and a lot of these are false! BTW the dogs are meant to sniff for EXPLOSIVES not marijuana. The dogs in the airport do not sniff for drugs. Marijuana in small amounts most likely will not be confiscated. TSA is looking for threats to the other passengers not drugs. You'd be surprised to hear a lot of the things people bring through security x ray scanners- sex toys, alcohol, etc!

      I love road trips too! We are in the car for hours together and we finally get to be together! I have done two big road trips by myself with our 2 girls, from Houston to NYC and Boston ... dad did not come along. Just us girls! It was fabulous, but it helps that I have a huge car. We joke about it and say it's our home away from home but it's about true. It's just about a step under an RV. No bath facilities but we can sleep in it. When I am pushing getting a lot of mileage in a day of travel we can grab a nap at a well-lit truck stop. I notice we are not alone, as many other travelers do that too. We stop and see sights, eat fabulous local food and clean up well when we get to a nice room. My girls love the car and hate if its in the shop and we use a loaner or rental. We eat, dress in it, kids read, do schoolwork, fix hair and makeup, watch DVDs (though that hasn't happened in a while ... too busy). Lots of storage space too. Just not good on gas mileage, but the car is extremely safe and even saved my life once. That safety is an added peace of mind and we all have great memories from those trips because of having a large comfortable traveling car. No parking issues like you can have with an RV too.
