Who else never grew out of wanting to be a fighter pilot
The absolute pain when you see a fighter fly over while sitting in a truck stuck in traffic.
Growing out of wanting to be a fighter pilot, or worse, never wanting to be one in the first place, are serious signs of insanity and reasons to be committed to the asylum.
M3Vader hopefully I’ll have the chance in the next life.... until then VR and flight sims it is. So insanely jealous of these pilots.

This plane is sooooooo loud. Makes F22 quiet almost. They fly together at Nellie all the time. Ridiculous.......
The pedal turn is absolutely amazing, like something out of a sci-fi fighter movie. The jet literally pirouettes in place and picks and chooses its targets anywhere in the battle space. Power and grace in one move!
hahahaha... you don't know much about modern jet combat, do you. Pull that crap in an actual combat scenario and you are dead, dead, dead.

Bill why won’t you?
doesn't mean you still can't fly...
Don’t give up on your dreams, King, keep grinding.
Short-sightedness automatically renders you ineligible to become an Air Force pilot?
I'm not affiliated with the Military but I have dug into the process a lot online. This isn't for the Air Force, but in the navy academy if you have good marks and you get into the fighter program, I heard they will pay for LASIK. Now, if you get LASIK yourself then it's an instant disqualification, BUT if you get LASIK from them you are in. Which is strange since it is the same operation but I digress, also you only need to have 20/20 for training. Many Fighter Pilots wear glasses or corrective lenses once they get into their 40's. Don't give up, Bill, it's not like the 1970's anymore. Also you should also hear what CW Lemoine has to say about "making them tell you no," here is a link to his vid about it, please, watch it; ruclips.net/video/uUJcqkUde9w/видео.html

Commercially, still a chance.
I wish I could do this for a living. These guys have the most incredible job. Breath taking.
I wanted to pursue this when i was young, but decided not to because i'm not okay with killing people when it comes down to it.
@Jake Heke Of course nobody is perfect, but you cannot use your "imperfection" as an excuse and justify killing people. This has nothing to do with perfection, it has everything to do with the truth. Being a fighter pilot you risk killing people (whether you like it or not). I'm not okay with taking that risk because i live by my own principles. Others might be okay with that and that's just fine by me. But, if you join the military you risk killing people when it comes down to it...that's just the truth.
@@jackoates6418 I agree but killing people is where my limit is at.
Its not just a job... It's an adventure
A drone will take your job if you start learning to be a fighter pilot now, unfortunately.
That’s is why I decided against it.
Being 38, nothing on YT, maybe even the whole internet, has made me feel like i'm a sugar-addled 10 year old on Saturday morning again, the way these dashcam/ride along flight videos have. Massive salute to all pilots. I'm sufficiently floored on every video, what these men and women do.
It's amazing how responsive this plane is. He just taps the joystick and it rolls
They technically didn’t need moving sticks at all. A while back when the F-16 was getting FBW the stick didn’t move it just responded to the force applied, but pilots didn’t like that so sticks still have a little bit of freedom to move despite the fact they don’t need to at all.
That helmet costs more than most people's homes.

I rode the bus in San Francisco...I remember some of your maneuvers.
I'm sure you think you can, but thinking and doing are two very different things. Last time I checked, a city-bus can't go Mach 2 or pull 9 G turns, and a city-bus doesn't have to worry about getting blown the fuck up. I know you probably think you're hard, as most people do, but you're really not.

I thank him and your family for his service and your sacrifice in time with him as he defended all of us.
my brother was a pilot in gulf war 2 and said it was boring as hell. mostly watching buildings explode on little video screens.
I was on Miami beach that day. It was an amazing show! God bless all you pilots who keep us safe.
Such skill, precision, timing, and the ability to look very cool doing it! This pilot is Amazing! What a life to be up in the clouds flying at mach speeds. Thanks!
The upward thrust is incredible. It was sunny and all of a sudden he’s in space!
He was nearly supersonic and then went full thrust at the start of the climb. That is over 60000 ft/min.
The "pedal turn" as they call it, looks crazy from the ground. I wish some airspeeds and data was shown. I often wondered what the slow speed pass was and various of phases. Seeing the F35 rip in person will change your mind about this strangely negative press it had gotten for so long. This thing is a serious machine.
The entire demo team profile is online, complete with 3D graphics, altitude, airspeed, throttle settings, bank angles, limits, abort criteria, and emergency procedures.
It's true, you can see it here: www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/airshow/media/military/AETC_F-35_Demo_Maneuvers_Package.pdf
I realized long ago that the media is a bunch of rubbish. They're just dumb people writing clickbait to kill others' brain cells.
The "strangely negative press" this jet has received has very much been incepted by Russian propaganda. Then shitty internet "news websites" like Forbes take the bait and in turn create clickbait titles that ultimately besmirches the F35's public perception. The Woozle Effect in essence.
The music paired with this video truly makes one envision how free it must feel to be in the seat of that cockpit. The F-22, the F-35...both incredible in design and power. Being able to look down over the ocean and see your silhouette? I would probably never get over the feeling that would bring.
