Wow, I'm a big Vegas fan but honestly don't see them as a number 1 cup favorite. In fact, and it's painful to say this, I don't even see them as a serious cup contender. Their defense looks solid, and both the center position and goaltending look good if not great. The potential problem, and it could be a major one, is scoring from the wings. Some of the young guys and new acquisitions.will really have to step up if Vegas is to have success.

All the teams I thought could be number 1 were already in Hayes list before he said his number 1 so I had to pause there a second and think who is he gonna pick.
