““He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The LORD has spoken. In that day they will say, ‘Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.’ Isaiah 25:8-9

@@Caleb_Mangan Yes, I think in 2017. I listened to him on the radio many years ago when I first became a Christian. But I had lost track of him through the years. Now that he's gone, I am discovering him all over again.
“Remember what happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and no one is like Me. I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: My plan will take place, and I will do all My will.” Isaiah 46:9-10 Our God is very great , Lord help us to walk pleasingly before you.
Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’
Collosians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
It pleased the Sovereign Lord to sovereignly give man a free will. From the very beginning man was allowed free will - Adam and Eve would tell you this if they were around.
God’s sovereignty is not limited by human autonomy. I agree with Sproul 100% on this. But God is sovereign in God’s exercise of His sovereignty, and if God sovereignly chooses to give humans by divine grace the real ability to make real decisions, ie that there is genuine contingency so they we have the power to choose between two options, then God certainly is free to do so. God’s exhaustive foreknowledge, which I affirm, does not mean man *must* do what God foreknows but only that man *will* do what God foreknows. There’s a significant difference between these two. Bottom line, this is a legitimately difficult question and we should keep talking/arguing about it as brothers, keep prayerfully searching the Bible together as we serve the Lord together.
@jeffryblair6816 Having read the whole counsel of scripture (the Holy Bible) under the guidance of the Holy Spirit; I have never and cannot conclude that our Lord Jesus died for x number of people. If this were so there would be no point in preaching the gospel. The grace, mercy and love of God is too great for our finite minds to comprehend. God created each human being to have fellowship with him and he wants to restore sinful man to that fellowship. This is why Jesus died for each sinner (and not some sinners). Calvinism is a false doctrine.
@@darin1969The reason we preach the gospel regardless of limited atonement is because we don't know who God, in his grace chose to save .. also what I don't understand is why people have a problem with limited atonement in the new covenant but never have a problem with God only choosing Israel to be his special ppl, who not only had his divine protection but also were stewards of his holy commands... Why did he leave the majority of the gentiles in spiritual blindness; left to worship idols and to perish in their sin? If you argue about God limiting his grace in the new covenant then don't forget to argue about his limitations of that same grace under the old as well ..

Yes! I love that verse. John was unbelievably humble by exhalting Christ here since a Jewish man was questioning John about his authority to baptize. Of course, at the end of this exchange, John left the man with the following: 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

And I do thank our dear Lord for R.C.!

I am very thankful for the videos of him teaching; consider how he is now present with the Lord; yet we miss him.
My pastor recommended him and I’ve been watching his videos. I had no idea he had gone to be with the Lord.

I make choices all day, but my problem is that my will, which is enslaved to sin, is also under my authority. Do my will is far from free.
You have no free will, you have an illusion of choice. The world proves that, how much more so the things concerning God.
Look up definition of freedom.
Look up the definition of sovereignty.
