Dude a 4 horse featherweight saw Is amazing. 5 horse is crazy for a work saw that weighs that little. Imagine if you had half a dozen of these things to learn em out.. you'd be selling them by the pallet load to bucket truck guys if you could consistently do 5 or even a little more...
I think being conservative with the exhaust port was wise. Making a saw run great and lasting are the best combination. Making a crazy saw isn't something you do for anyone. Reliability is key. Trying crazy things on your own stiff is on you.
5 hp out of a 43cc saw is awesome. Nice job Charles.
Both within a hair of each other. What's cool is that the saw didn't appear to mind either exhaust shape. Awesome work for sure. Light is right.
Excellent job Charlie!
I think 5 HP out a 43 cc build is awesome! Curious what you (or Joe) suspect is the cause of the dip on the top end. Nice work Charles.
Great power to weight ratio! That should be a fun saw to run. Hopefully Echo will see a market for this saw here in the states.
Great work!
Outstanding work my friend
To take a small saw and crank out that much power that's awesome 👍
Very Very impressive my friend as always 💪🏻 Tq. Hp. Balance that makes a saw joy to run..!!
Shit getting 4.5 horse would make almost anyone happy! I'm sure hell be stoked!
AWESOME build Charles 5hp out of that little saw might be as good as your 4910 builds maybe even better if it is smaller and lighter.
Very impressive sir!
Very big gains. I agree that ported these would be top dog small saws

Awesome, and over 4hp for at least 5K rpm! Sometimes magic happens.
Sweet results Charles on 2 nice builds. But I'm not sure which grunts louder your saws or that screw driver rack above your bench?? JK...

I ported a 61 and did the D shape opposite of yours. Great gains
I’m stoked about that HP in a 43 cc saw. Because of back pain from years of drywall and construction I need a lighter saw!!
Where can get these??
Have to get them from other countries

Charlie
What does stratified mean in 2 cycle
