why not? for some works they are way better. Sure, for real work in the forest they are not on a level right now, to heavy, to expensive and not the power of a petrol saw... my msa 200 is the perfect nr. 2 behind the 500i
Totally agree. Can't imagine cut a big oak with a chainsaw on batteries. Besides, I am curious in what year they will have an electric one that can replace my 880? Probably I am to old to cut trees at that time. 😂😂
It’s interesting to see how the three top chainsaws compare: the Stihl MSA 300, Husqvarna 542iXP, and the modified Echo 4310SX. Each has its own advantages, depending on the needs and preferences of the user. The Stihl MSA 300 stands out for its powerful performance and ergonomic design, while the Husqvarna 542iXP is highly regarded for its performance and durability. The modified Echo 4310SX also delivers impressive performance. Choosing between these three really depends on the specific requirements of the job and personal preference.
I have the Stihl MSA300 over 2 years the chainsaw itself is great but the batteries not and priced like gold. For a day work out in the woods I need a truck load of batteries. Battery technology still light years away for professional use.
Those batteries saws cut good but still can't compete plus the prices for the larger batteries are insane. The still 500 battery is 500 dollars and you need a minimum of 2. I'm sticking with gas saws. Plus I can upgrade them and make them cut and sound better
yeah, thats one thing - and the msa 300 is heavy too. i really like my msa 200, for the small stuff its perfect, it has enough power, it runs with the normal accus (i have two 300s) and it is not heavy. well, its a small saw that is a perfect number two or three saw. but the msa 300 is to expensive, to heavy and has not enough power to justify that - i mean, i get a 500i for that money and that saw really rocks.
@@demetriogranados3879 definitly - 500i is the best saw i ever had (ok, i did not buy a new saw every year), power and starts always - i often had trouble with other gas saws to get them running or to keep them running - that was annoying
Cutting Echo you could extend the episode to about 20 minutes (until the next refueling). And professional battery toys would overheat (with such a load) during the next (maybe another) cut. Although the first cuts of both electrics are impressive. If someone needs fast but not too long use, less noise is important and can afford such an expense, then this is some solution.
Yes nice saw, I haver one. Unfortunately is like have a Mustang GT with gas tanque in the reserve, the top baterry AP500S isnt UP to the saw. A profesional out in forest with need a truck load of batteries for a Day work.
I will never replace my petrol chainsaws with battery ones.
Thanks for watching!

They're not designed as a replacement, they are designed as a compliment. Both types of saws have advantages and disadvantages.
Which of the two battery saws do you prefer?

The battery tools need to be hugely abused to overheat, in normal use both the Husky and the Stihl will never overheat.
Very nice
