Jock Watson Thanks Jock for your kind comments. I found a tape lying in a drawer I'd made about 3yrs. ago and I decided to post it on You Tube I have suffered a stroke since, my music and grammar has affected. But I'm fine, Cheers, Harry.
harry hagan Glad to hear you're fine Harry. I sing the song in bothies, when I'm camping and at home for weans tae pensioners and it always goes down well
Hello again Harry, they say imitation is the highest compliment. A pal told me about a guy who sings a song on youtube called THE DUNDEE DOG. I dont know if its your cup of tea but there's a verse about an epic battle between sam and the dog. I thought it was fine and shows how your song will be remembered for many years to come. I've not put a link on but if you do want to see it just type Dundee dog. Hope you are in fine fettle, all the best to you.
Dear Jock, I wrote "Sam The Skull" in 1980 and published 1981 by Gaberlunzie Music. in the LP "Travelling Man" Gaberlunzie following a EP single. Regards, Harry.
Harry, don't know if you remember a wee blond haired boy who was your pal at primary school. often seen in your garden at Craigpark on your pedal car ? I always got a 'piece' from your mother when I was hungry, and have never forgotten the kindness shown to me by you and your Mum and Dad days.. Your song is brilliant, catchy and well composed. Hello Harry. I'm a storyteller and author, and would like to explore the possibility of writing a children's novel based on the adventures of your character, Sam the Skull. How would you feel about giving permission for that?
