I will try making your improved stove design and something similar to this stand .... great ideas! Thanx a lot! Have a nice day and nice campings/ hikes/cooking
Very nice demonstration. Some small aluminum or copper tubing available from the hardware store could be used instead of the rolled up can pieces but I like that you used what you had on hand.
I made a similar stand for my Trangia - not quite as nice as yours. For the "hinges" I just used some short sections of 1/4" copper tubing that works quite well and is very secure. You just need to slide the tubing on to the legs before you make your final bends for the feet. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video. Stand looks great! At around 7:27 the flame stops coming out of the middle (big hole) and then just starts coming out of the little holes....why does this happen?
Made the Penny can stove today, but it made a small crack on the sides when i did press it together. But it still works just fine, besides sometimes a flame pops out of the crack. Fuels used: Ethanol with the blue color nail polish remover Both work just fine, and also used brake cleaner, but that doesn't give me a clean blue flame.
Acetone is probably safe to burn. It's similar to ethanol chemically. Might leave soot, though. Ethanol is fine, (albeit expensive, because liquor tax), methanol is fine but has a lower energy density and denaturated alcohol is cheap and good.
I don't have power tools like this. This is somewhat complicated for a nonmechanic. Have you thought about selling these? Really a standard size for any soda can stove. Also, do you need something metal to sit the burning fuel can stove on to keep from burning a counter top? What's the maximum weight of pot this can hold?
What happens if you build the pot stands to be lower? Really what I'm wondering is, how does the function of the stove change as the bottom of the pot gets closer and closer, and eventually touches the top of the stove?
Thanks for being an honest person.

I like your design too. I've seen a few and am trying to make my own.

Ah, I think your 'new versus improved' video answers this...capillary action?
Completely Awesome,,,!!!!! I really like your stove design,,
This stand is the icing on the cake 🎂. J
Seems like you could use panel strips of aluminum on two of the legs to make a big of an integrated wind screen.
How long will this cook for? What types of containers are recommended for cooking in?
Excellent video brotha! I just did one similar...
What guage wire do you use?

daand12 Don't use Any of those Fuels! especially brake cleaner! use Denatured alcohol or the Yellow bottle of Heet!!!!!

great idea , came here from the stove build ,Im going to make these, thank you
If you set the pot directly on the stove, the flame will go out. The flame is extremely hot..
good to know thank you ,this will be one of the homemade stoves that will be with me as i go camping later this month .
I like this DIY stand, think I'll do the same. Thank you for the video!!!!

What interests me is that there is no flame in the stove after prime. That must have a reason...
Are you from Michigan or Florida?
what types of fuel do u use bro?
Kaypeedo 95 denatured alcohol
What is Patroal use I m
Was that rubbing alcohol that is used?
Sent denatured alcohol.. rubbing alcohol works just fine but leaves black soot all over the pots or pans
samoantravv thank you
Nifty idea. Thank you.
Cool idea!

Why can't you set the pot directly on the stove?
The pot will interfere with the oxygen flow and kill the flame.

No power tool is need, use a nail for make the holes

Optimum distance between top of stove and pot is an inch.
Cool, thanks.
We can use NC thinner....I HAVE DONE IT I WILL PUT IT IN YOU TUBE....
That's great idea I'l do it thank you for the video
