In this video we do something super exciting! We have our lovely competition winner Jodie Pollock who won the 2 hour nail tuition with me.
I teach Jodie how to structure a basic nail using Naio Nails products and give her useful tips on how to become an even better nail technician.

kirsty i think the way u teach is awsome i wish u wear teaching in aus you are so informative and u answer the cam guys questions with so much information it makes me want to try doing nails myself but unfortunately i cant get my own kit to try maybe oneday i will do it but love your videos

I am half way through my Level 3 Nail Technician course and I do find it hard to get those beads right . Great video please let us know when you next competition is on would love to meet you and get some training .

Kirsty, let me start out by saying how amazingly talented you are. I started watching you about a year ago and it convinced me to get my nails done by a highly recommended nail tech in my home town. She has taken such good care of my nails that for the first time in my life, I'm 62, I have long beautiful nails and look forward to getting them done every 2-3 weeks. And, since I am so new to this I have a new design every time I get them done. My question for you is, do you own Naio Nails? And do you still have regular clients? You are so busy with these videos I don't know how you would have time, Regardless, please keep doing them , I so enjoy your humour and you are so very nice, I really look forward to them.

Keith Warren not only this i sometimes wish I lived in Canada due to nail tech problems. even though I'm not even a nail tech haha. I've been thinking about it though I absolutely love nails and nail art! Nearly all, if not all, of the salons I've seen aren't as good or creative as kirsty or even Suzie from nailcareereducation. the salons near me always come across as sort of unwelcoming :/ they don't answer simple questions I have about their products as they mostly don't even know what they are using. I asked a simple question about one of the nail lamps they were using and they had no idea what I was talking about :/

Mechelle Semans The site is in US currency, but I believe they still ship from the UK. Still, there should be a Naio Ambassador for each region in the US. Although, after speaking with a few companies, Florida seems to be low on ambassadors all together!
Oh man, I have seen a lot of people from US using Naio products. So somewhere has to sell them, I'm just not sure where then. Cause I would for sure LOVEEE to try them out too. Maybe, if you have any friends from RUclips or Facebook, something like that, that you trust. You could have them send them too you from the UK. Just an idea.

okay. I have to say that 1) you make learning FUN! Thank you!!! 2) I have never taken nail classes before... buuuuuut, I feel confident that I could do my own at this point. Yes... I do. 3) Which is not the Original reason that I started watching these tutorials- that was so I know how to communicate to a nail tech what I wanted and to see if they were doing it correctly. 4) I have been to several (and sincerely, I do mean several... nail salons in my area. (Kentucky usa...) and none of the 7 or 8 or (cough) 12 know anything about building in structure to support the natural nail, nor do they know how to SCULPT a nail. They know how to glue a tip on or to take another tip and slip it under the glued on nail to take that nail off (those always HURT!!!) So, I decided that I couldn't do any worse then they have if I went ahead and DID MY OWN FREAKING NAILS!!!!!!!! Thanks to your video tutorials, I actually feel confident that I will be able to do a "Bang up" job. Thank you!!!! (PS...my own natural nails are always easily torn and they break very easily...which is what lead me to starting to do Acrylics... )
Well done Jodie, great job on that sculpt, I haven't tried acrylic sculpt at college yet but I will soon, my problem is getting the forms to stick they are a nightmare! (not Naio brand) Kirsty did an excellent job at showing you how to do it and I love the tips she gives on how to hold the brush! :))

Hey Kirsty...I qualified 2yrs ago, but I have to say I would have loved to have been trained by you. I have learned more from your videos then I did in the academy I trained in. Found these videos really great Kirsty! As an unqualified nail lover and RUclips learner (only do my own nails atm) it was great to see someone else learning from you and correcting the things I probably do to. Just got my order last week of naio goodies and can't wait to do my nails ready for holiday! I will be trying the reverse French look! Thankyou :) xxx
Kirsty, when pinching, if I put the tool on my clients nail and her finger is moving around as I am working, does that affect the pinch very much? I'm always worried that I am messing it up and then work slower, which I don't have time for. #newtothispinchinggame

I'm fairly new to your channel so I may have missed you already answering this question, but what e-file do you use? And what kind would you recommend for at home?
I think these learning videos are great! I got my manicuring license over 20 years ago... no I have not been doing nails all that time. I feel as though I could never get them perfect and it took me too long to do... The gel is something new and I would have to learn how to do. And there are a lot of new techniques since I went to school. I learned with Creative Nail Design. I'm in the USA
Love this! Could you do a video of a color change from glitter to another color? Would you have to cut the tip off and make a new one to have a different color? You videos are awesome!!
Carolyn Botelho if you lay down clear acrylic before putting down the glitter, you could just file off the glitter and put something new

I'm so happy 2 have come across ur videos. I love love love long fingernails, they're good nail professionals where I live but none of them do or even come close to your beautiful creations. I love your nails that had jewels on them especially the chains. To bad you don't live in USA you could teach them something
