Cant understand how an once 100,000+ car is so easy to work on but everybody sleeps on them lol, were one of the lucky few! Good tutorial as always man.
Hello GarageNextDoor! Thank you! Oh, For sure! I feel the car is still worth 100,000k and it's only society that makes a silly judgement to devalue it. The same goes with people. Society is always trying to tell you what you can't become, but inside you are very very valuable and can do great things! Good thing for us we can enjoy these cars!
Dude I'm on my 6th w210 : 2 '97s 1 '99 2 '00 430s and a 02 320...easily the most mechanically friendly car I've ever worked on and highly reliable..even after 20 years
This was interesting. Hadn't seen the underside of a S500 before. Yours is impressively clean. In terms of exhaust system configuration, the best one I've seen is on a CT9A Evolution (ie. Evo VII, VIII, and IX). It's essentially a straight line with a single wide bend as the pipe enters the muffler. Not quiet, though.
Hey Felix!! Yeah, it's quite interesting under there. I'm surprised they provided strut braces and full body paneling for protection and aerodynamics. Thanks! Must be from driving in the rain all the time hahaha! The Evo line has always inspired me, especially the exhaust system. I wish all cars had a straight through design like that. Maybe I should just put on two pipes, going straight down the center of the car. Who cares about ground clearance right? lol!!!
Hello Bugeyegang! Thanks! I actually made a video a while back (the prequel to this video haha) doing a cold start. Here is the link. I'll also put it in the description. Don't worry, I got you fam! ruclips.net/video/NsKPZ0HimZM/видео.html
I hear an exhaust leak on my w220 on the passenger side right near where the side front door and rear door meet. What could be cause the exhaust leak noise in this area under the car ?
Can you please show us how how we can remove the complete silencer for this Mercedes Benz 2004 I mean complete silencer right from the front at the engine side
@Garage Dynamics I need your help bro!😭 At 0:18 when you first start showing your exhaust, you see where the pipes come in and that one flange holding the pipes at the top and bottom? With that one bolt in the middle? that bolt keep coming loose on my car and rattles from the vibration of my engine. I tighten it as much as I can and it will be ok for a small while, then it's loose again. Is that something I could put loctite on to get it to stop coming loose?
Hey great workflow man love the commentary also. I spoke to you on your other exhaust thread and see now why your exhaust isn't obnoxiously loud as you left in the secondary cats. Is there anything inside those secondary cats or are they big hollow resonators?
Hello L.S.! I'm not sure they are made anymore, but the upgraded version are these wheels I believe. Here is the link. They are the Argents. I might actually switch to these wheels myself. Hope this helps! Cheers! www.mandruswheels.com/argent-mercedes-wheels.php
