Thanks for covering our game! For some background: This was a project by me and my girlfriend. We had a bunch of fun making it and are looking forward to the next project!
You're welcome! Really loved the game. Clever gameplay, freaky monsters an there were lots of great touches - such as the way you see the first monster from below the water. Awesome work! :)
Please dont create games if they are like this. Zoomers are gonna praise it and pretend there is hidden meaning but as older person with long game experience I'll tell it straight: a game must be entertaining. A horror must be scary not just gross and dark. Crawling for 20 to 40 minutes with no gameplay and bad graphics isnt fun. The ending is just wtf. People nowadays will praise anything because they used to be fake and spread false positivity. This was a bad game, it's just fact.
@@shwezinlamin you have no idea what a good game is. This game is original and the game play is unique. You couldn’t make anything like this, so stop talking.
Note: You move by crawling with your hands in this game. You press the left and right mouse buttons to make your corresponding hands grab the surfaces and pull you forward (so no WASD movement at all). You can also use this to climb surfaces and stab to defend yourself against monsters (as long as you have a bone knife)
This reminds me of the game where you somehow get trapped in a miniature cardboard city under your bed full of small horrendous dolls lying around. That feels like a fever dream
@@MichaelMcAfton If i knew the game i would've just straight up say it instead of describing the whole game, that's why it's called like a fever dream, you just so happened to remember about it but not the basic context. I think ABG played it before
i can't tell if the hands actually have a maximum grab distance, but if there is one then it's a bit too far maybe restricting the distance and angle you can grab at would add to the claustrophobia factor, i know from experience in caving that being unable to fully bend your arms because your shoulders are wedged is unpleasant
This game looks incredibly promising, but I feel like it could be a bit more immersive and scarier if you couldn’t look behind yourself. When you’re crawling, you can’t really turn around on a dime like this and have to shove yourself backwards if you want to move back.
I feel like having the ability to look behind you is very scary, like a any point something would be trailing you without a sound and the only way to know so is if you turn around, and the suspense would personally kill me
Hi! I was actually thinking about doing something like that (an ABG game of the year awards with multiple categories). It'll depend if I have enough time to edit it though as it might take a while. :)

Its an interesting idea. But between the PlayStation 1 graphics, minimal interface and mechanics, this feels like a half baked idea. It feels like one of those kind of boring VR gimmick games. The setting is kinda generic as is the over fraught metaphor language to try and sound deeper than it actually is.

This one feels made for VR.
Working on it!

It’s incredible how much an experience can change just by changing the buttons you need to press to move
Ok so the plot was: "You are a bug." LOL
Love the atmosphere in this one and the way those monsters move is very creepy.

This is like making a game about your colonoscopy exam.
and the hand is the doctor's.
doctor comes out:
"you got crabs"
They actually made a game like that, called "Revenge Of The Colon".
I actually like the crawling/climbing action, feels so natural. And the meat burrowing would be very relaxing if not for the 'spiders'.

Maybe something where you can only look back over your shoulders partially
Flesh doors and walls, bio-weapons and a little number of monsters

Seems like getting over ledges while climbing is a little finnicky, might be good to explain how that works, or simplify it a little.
I rather like the monster design though.
aww the monster are kinda cute :3
This gives me vibes of Endoparasitic, but with much less resource management.
Why does this game take place inside the Mystery Flesh Pit National Park?
Is this by the same guy who's making Lorn's Lure and made those other climbing games?
Somehow I am pretty sure this was a Kafka based game....that starter quote sounds like something from Metamorphosis.
Darkness under my bed, DO ITT
Ngl the movement feels very clunky, and finnicky just from watching, they should make it a bit easier to move around.

I am not claustrophobic but i do not like small caves. JUST bc things can crawl in there and you cant run
The Descent much?
What the hell was the protagonist?
probably the devil himself
I am the one who crawls.
