Because of Houston, I have an 8 year old great grandson that loves fishing. His Pawpaw has had serious health issues for the last 2 years and can't take him. When we go to Ky. he goes to a friends pond and could fish all day. We always hear, Mr. Jeff lets catch, clean and cook. Thank you for inspiring him to love the outdoors.

Reminds me about the one time the adults went fishing and didn’t have rods for my sister and I (we were 10&9. I was like what the heck, so I got a branch, asked my grandpa for a hook and line, tied it to the end of that line and put a worm on it. Laying on the dock I could see bass swimming under it in the shade, I dangled that worm and in no time I caught one of those fish! My grandpa burst out laughing because off the irony! Next time I had my own pole.

You guys finally lucked out while fishing! A fresh fish dinner or sandwich sounds good! I am a Miracle Whip person also. I make my tarter sauce using Miracle Whip and sweet relish too, that’s all I use for mine. Have a great upcoming weekend. 💙🤗😀
I use Miracle Whip and Plochman’s mustard for my tartar sauce. I also use it to dip chicken strips too.

Houston, hold on to these precious memories! I remember night fishing with my Daddy off the dock! Back then we used to put big water proof flash lights in the water so we could see the fish! My Daddy has been gone for more than 20 years now, but the memories are still priceless! Love and blessings from this old Bama girl!❤❤❤

This brings back so many memories. My mom was a Long Beach Lady Anglers in SoCal and i learned to fish at 8. This reminds me of the time my dad and I were on the fishing barge in Seal Beach in 1967 at 12 pm. My dad and I would live on this barge every summer. People would come out on a boat and fish, but me and my dad lived on it all summer. I caught a 100 lb spider crab, and a 60 lb halibut. I'm 63 now, and I love watching y'all catch.

I wish I had a dad like you. You do a lot outdoor activities that I always wanted to do with my dad. He wasn't family man and spent most of his free time with his mistress.

I love watching you all have fun together I'm 68 years old and I remember fishing with my daddy when I was a little girl all the way up through my 30s lost my dad at 92 years of age 4 years ago. He mama also did a lot of fishing together❤❤❤
I used to fish the Trinity River in Houston Co, Texas. When the sand bass were on the run, we'd mop up using just cheap, Walmart yellow jigs. We'd go home with SO many fish! 😊

I remember fishing at my granddaddy’s pond outside Lancaster, SC when I was little. The weeds in the pasture we walked through to get to the pond were taller than me. I’ll always cherish those memories. My daddy passed in 2017.

It’s so great to see you spending so much time with Houston! He is a very lucky boy. I have 3 adults children, one boy and twin girls. There dad didn’t spend time with them. They are grown now and still don’t hear from there dad. My girls have children of there own now. I have 5 grandchildren. 2 boys and 3 girls. My one daughter is married and has a great husband who loves there 2 kids. My other daughters boyfriend don’t spend no time with their kids. So sad. Great video! My favorite time to fish is at nite with my 16 ft cane pole. We'd hang a light from the end of a pier, as close to the top of water as we could. That attracted the bugs and the fish--and the gar, lol. We'd be in the boat fishing. So much fun!
Love my Dock demon. Used it for many years with a zebco zse20 reel but now I just put a Penn Pursuit4 4000 reel with 30lb braid and a 6/0 circle hook on it. Can’t wait to go catfishing again.
Hi Daniel and Huston. Looks like you guys are having a good time. When I was a boy we would go fishing on Grand Lake by Jay and Grove. We would sometimes put a feathered jig on and put a minnow on the jig and would catch a lot of fish that way.

Those small fish will love the expanded pond next summer. You will never regret expanding a deck edge swimming pond. An honor system selling firewood bundles at the merch warehouse, sell Firestarter and metal firepit. Great way to also add incentive on tree removal and cleanup. Put that commercial splitter and equipment to good use and new guy content.

Like I mentioned before reach out and get some help on fly fishing., it’s tricky for beginners. But so much fun.also put a minnow on a little jig and you’ll do as well as the jig.
My tartar uses miracle whip/salad dressing too! Minced onion, garlic powder, sweet relish, lemon juice, dried dill and a pinch cayenne

Near the old Grandview fishing pier in Hampton Virginia there was and old house next to a small tidal ditch. The owner would catch Bull minnows out of the ditch and kept them in an old iron bathtub. It was all on the honor system. Unfortunately, the pier was destroyed by hurricane Isabel in 2003.

I'm not much on hot foods and I'm a mayonnaise person not miracle whip or a bread and butter pickle person. I like dill. But I would definitely give that sandwich a try! There is a place in Ranger Texas called LA Mancha Lake Resort. Out whole family use to rent a lot of cabins and had the best crappie fishing.

Our family used to go to Lake Ivy near San Angelo and stay in some little cinderblock cabins. They let us rent a boat slip with the cabin. The guys would go down to the docks after dark and take a spotlight. They caught a bunch of fish. The alligator Gars seemed to really be drawn to the light.

One of the most enjoyable videos imo. Great memories being made. Add a little Tabasco and Dijon to the tartar sauce, and some cream of tartar of course. (Cream of tartar isn't a cream, it's a powder. It's what makes a remoulade - tartar sauce) and try white pepper.
Really fun video. That little rod looks like it was a lot of fun to use. Maybe the lights are set to go off at midnight. The great thing about cooking at home is you can try anything you like. So, the white or sand bass is the Oklahoma state fish (I didn’t know that) and if you soak the fillets in salt water or milk it is supposed to improve the flavor… as per the internet. Love places that use the honor box and have no issues with it. So, Coghill Farms and Lumnah Acres are all selling coffee… when does Arms come up with a Homestead and/or a Do Your Best blend? Thanks for sharing!

We grew up with Miracle Whip and my dad always used it in his tarter sauce. Now I live in Norway and it is hard to find it. So I’ve had to use mayo instead. But I’ve learned by using bread and butter type pickles and a little of the juice, I can get some similar in taste.
