I like it. One thing I like is your sticking to the upper strings in your finger picking. It adds to the dark haunting quality of the song. Having grown up in the time of John Lennon, it feels good to know that younger artists are keeping his music alive.

Great work. Any particular reason for picking Gmaj instead of Emin in verses?
In the original recording I really like the falling E to D notes as it goes from Am to the second chord. There’s an E note in there at the same time on the piano, so either would work, makes it more of a G6. There’s a lot going on in the original song, so I just chose an option. Em/G or G6 or Em7/G would have all worked. After the intro in the original the lowest E note sounds like it drops out so the lowest note in the verses for that chord becomes G.
