Now and Then by The Beatles - Acoustic Cover

- I have been absolutely blown away by the response to my cover of Now and Then that I posted on the day it came out. Nothing I have ever posted on RUclips has had so many views, and all of your lovely comments have been making me smile all week :)
As promised, here is a version of it with better sound and video quality taken from this week's Weekly Wind-Down. It's still performed live (hence the slightly dodgy ending!), the only differences from my first attempt are some slightly more accurate melodies in the vocal, and I've played the Em/G a few times for those of you who were so desperate to hear it haha - I've left some of them just as Gs though, because you know what, I just like it, and if you listen to the Beatles version on some good quality speakers you can hear the movement from E to D that you get by moving from an Am to a G, and personally I think it adds something beautiful.

@LauraWyattMusic you're so welcome. It's a plaintive version of a favorite song. Also I did some homework and as I suspected, the chord after the aminor is actually an eminor with a g bass. So, funnily, if you combine your first approach with the second you get what John was going for. The complainers were idiots after all and didn't know what they were talking about. Thanks again for the great effort and performance!!
@@elliotgoldberg5657 Em/G is an Em with a G in the bass, that's what everyone was commenting that I should use, and that is definitely what is played in the original, it's just not the *only* thing that was being played, there's also a G chord or G6 in there because you can hear the note D which is the 5th of the G chord, and then if you add the E it becomes a G6... none of it really means anything though in terms of being wrong or right, in my opinion, if it sounds pretty, it sounds pretty haha Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed my version :)
