Perfect songs to read the subjective forms of the clouds and to follow with a tender eye the grooves of the stems of the trees; appreciate the complex writing of the nested branches, taste the colors of the decomposition of light into water droplets in a garden, and strongly feel the wet soil of ancestral forest to perceive the traces of animals from deep past 🦕

the first impromptu in C minor is sooo tragically beautiful, it can give us an insight of the psychological hell shubert was living in, it gives me a lot of empathy for him
Her magnificent performance is beyond description , immeasurable , unfathomable and full of admiration , acclaim , and deep emotion , and comfortable to the ear and the mind From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
Schubert sits and writes this down, pensively, these are sweet little intricate things to play around with. Since we have no idea what was going through his mind when he wrote this [or anything else], we can use freedom of artistic expression and go at it from every angle possible, which is fantastic. This, however, is the standard I go by when I hear the D899 pieces anywhere, I cannot help it. Perfect level of restraint, control, emotional output, flourish. It's magical. It's phenomenal.
Maria holds a very special place in the music world. She wisely plays the literature which is best suited to her talents. Her Chopin, Grieg, and Schubert are enormously expressive and entirely convincing. You think Chopin nocturnes are fluff, eh? Listen again- to her. Rare, indeed.
Thank you for Introducing me to this mesmerizing interpretation of Schubert by Maria Joao Pires... It shows that Schubert is about Schubert foremost and then about the Performer...
Schubert was a genius, and here my favourite piece is played by another. Sviatoslav Richter is held by many to be the greatest Schubert interpreter on piano, but I prefer Maria Joao Pires' lightness of touch and her ability to convey melody so beautifully.
