    He didn’t mention the biggest flaw: you can’t get hold of them. I love my Octavia and want to replace it with this one. I was told there’s a 52 week lead time and one dealer has been waiting a year and a half for delivery. I couldn’t even find one to test drive.

    A very good review but one correction, the car has electronic seats in both front sides. He said it only has that for the driver which is a shame. I just got the car today and it has electronic adjustable seats with memory in both sides 😁👌

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  3 года назад +1

      Here's what we've got in our written review: "The front seats are manually adjustable - it’s a shame that electric controls aren’t included as standard, although an electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function is available as a £455 option - yet again, you’ll need to add an irrelevant £545 option in order to access this feature."
      Are you sure your vehicle isn't fitted with an option that gave you the electric seats? From our understanding and Skoda's brochure, only the driver's seat becomes electric, not both.
      Which model do you have exactly?
      Glad you also liked the review :)

      @@TotallyEV Ok, i will wait to view it. I am planning to buy a skoda Octavia VRS but i hesitate between phev and 2.0TSI. PHEV seems to be the logic way for the future but i am a little concerned about reliability for such complicated systems. Do you have feedbacks about that (generally in phev market and specifically with VW group phev motors)

    • @TotallyEV

    I bought a brand new Skoda Favorite in 1995 on a 2 year VW fininance plan. It was a VW engineered model with Bosch fuel injection and immobilizer - so they must have bought Skoda before 2000.

      @@mccririck01 Makes sense - I also bought a new one in '91("H" reg). It was in a weird turquoise colour - nice though. Completely different car to drive. A lot lighter and a lot quicker No fuel injection, cat converter, or side impact protection etc. It was a lot of fun to drive! VW took all the fun out of that car, but my '95 VW version was at least safe, economical, and a lot less rattlely!

    Can I just ask, what is the point in the charging cable for the battery if it gets charged back from the brakes etc? Do you need to charge it ever?

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  Год назад +1

      Good question: effectively lifting off will only regen so much energy, so you'll normally never have the ability to fully charge using regen braking only (especially if you're simultaneously using it while driving), so that's why there's the option to recharge using a plug socket.
      Hope that helps!
