Well now, my walking onions have babies that have babies!!! They are still growing healthy and upright .....I broke momma stem over to make contact with the soil and they keep growing from the stem and not root into the soil! Absolutely amazing!😂

I bought mine on eBay, I read the reviews and they seem to know what they were doing and that’s where I got mine. You can’t find them in nurseries.
Zoey is adorable. She is fascinated but very respectful of the baby emu. I love watching them interact. She is such a delightful puppy. ❤❤❤

We are not in summer yet, however we are stuck at 99 to 100 degrees. Tomatoes are no longer setting. Going to be a small harvest this year.
It looks right now like the heat wave is just going to miss us; there may be some things you can do try to shade the tomatoes. See if you can do that.❤

How do y'all store pollen over winter? I didn't have any male flowers on my squash plants last week to pollinate the female flowers, so i am going to lose 6 squash. I have plenty of male flowers week, thank goodness lol. ❤😊😊❤
I don’t think you can store it that long, but you could always try to wrap some in paper towels at the end of the season and put in a plastic bag and freeze it
Robbie I have a question, most of my walking onions have baby bulbs when they walk. The problem I have one pot of them put up stalks with what looks almost like a flower head instead of bulbs is this normal? The Emus and Zoe are very cute.
Wait till they open, Sometimes they can develop tiny bulbs that at first look like it is going to be a flower. Should not develop true seeds, rare to do seeds. Thanks

Hi Robbie and 🐾Zoe🐾 Just made tuna salad with minced walking onions. Delicious. My onions are growing beautifully even though it’s hot, 100+ degrees. My lettuce is struggling as well as my summer squash. You mentioned mellons growing well in Arizona. So, I put the seeds from a watermelon and cantaloupe in soil and they germinated in two days. Looks promising 😬 I love those baby emus, adorable with Zoe. Thanks for the growing tips.🌵🐝🐥🐥🌷

🌺We grow a lot of green onion (full sun) and I've never seen aphids. What do you do with your onions? I always harvest a whole bunch and flash freeze them, so I always have a supply in my freezer and in my garden. I love that your birds eat the bugs in your garden. Our birds love to eat our fruits. My walking onions are in full sun, about 18" tall. I planted them in the early fall. They are not walking yet, how long does it take? I'm anxious to see them mature and walk.
I think you will be glad to hear this, I recently read an article on the 99 cent stores in California. The article said that the Dollar Tree is going to purchase the 99 cent stores that closed in California. I hope that is true and good news for you. I know you love to shop there.

Out of 6 walking onions I have 2 left. We've had so much rain that I think they drowned. I guess I need to move them into more sun.

If you lay strips of banana peeling Around where you have black Fly It will kill them. I always thought it was just chasing some of them off. But then I went and touched them, and they weren't moving anymore. They're definitely dead.
