Klayton never seems to lose his artistic edge.... Like at all. I've been listening to him since I was in my teens, Last Firstborn if recall, and everything after is always fresh and original. Truly, Klayton deserves a place in the Musicians Hall of Fame.
@@miked3168 I have no idea how anything from Satellites sounds the same as anything from Offworld. Or how anything from Offworld sounds anything like End of an Empire. Every single Celldweller album has been almost completely different, to the point where a lot of people took issue with it (all the complaints about the "old sound"). If anything Satellites has been the one album that has sounded the closest to the Celldweller Debut, with certain bits & beats from the different tracks. Like the bridge in this song, and the psy-trance elements in A Matter of Time.
Klayton, i've been a fan since i've found you in Deadrising 2 back in the day, and your music has helped me through the past 10 years of hell ive been dealing with, let alone become my favorite artist bar none. I've not disliked any of your music, and everything you do I manage to love and listen to who knows how many times before the hype dies down. Keep doing what you do, because i'll always be a Cellmate.
Been listening since ‘92. Put the sample/demo tape in at my local shop and bought it right away. Wore that one out. There’s projects and albums I prefer to others, but this man deserves all the credit he gets.
This one hits quite close to home to me, because I feel like a part of me came to a horrible ending (a friend of mine turned toxic and abusive and I had to cut all connection), and with the quarantine nothing feels real anymore. My old life was burned to the hallowed ground along with that bridge. But now after all the crap I can finally pick myself up and focus on my own survival and that of my family's with a clear mind. It's a bittersweet feeling. Like the song says, I'll never be the same, because the old me is dead. Excellent work Klayton, thank you so much for this fabulous song!
The thing I love the most about Celldweller other than the music obviously Klayton actually knows and understands all the gear that he owns which gives him even more credibility as an artist.
This song is just awesome. I'm picking up some Biblical vibes from this. "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." (Matthew 3:11 NKJV). Also, this was uploaded on the 28th, a few days before the day of Pentecost for this year.
The spiritual components of this song are unmistakeable! True conversion brings purification, consecration, and burns the dross away. You'll never be the same. Because He is an all consuming fire...
@@cellslave I caught what you said there. it's a reference to another song. If you want to get technical, the New Elysium is already within us and yet to come at the same time. "Now this phrase “once and for all” clearly indicates the final removal of things that are shaking, that is, the old order, so only what is unshakeable will remain. Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring fire!" (Hebrews 12:27-29 TPT). Also ironically, this passage fits both the songs New Elysium and Baptized In Fire to a certain extent.
There are some artists out there that change over a long period of time and lose fans. I'm happy to say that Klayton isn't one of them. All of the change has been good while still keeping the best parts of what he was in the beginning
