I made a set of these last night. These instructions could not be more helpful and straightforward! Insure you start w/ fabric symmetrical in X & Y and the corner bunching will pleat more easily. When corner bunching, start early and keep bunching every mm of progress as you insert the spline and it will proceed smoothly. Afterwards you can even out the bunching pleat pattern a bit and reseat the spline without fully dislodging the spline from the groove. They look indistinguishable from factory made. Great video and product.

This is a great option to have for your kits great to see!
Now if you could build a kit with driver trim rings to hide the woofer screws and give a clean modern look to go with the magnetic grilles. It would be a home run! Not easy to do I know, but I think it would be next level and get rid of the homemade look that kit speakers have 🔈👍🏻

The integral curved faceplate on the tweeter makes this a bit difficult but is something we’ll consider in the future.

Can you make a video on how to deconstruct my 2TD-X so I can add these? 🤣

Maybe a big sharpie would be enough to change the color so you dont have to paint it? I havent tried it.

It doesn't seem that hard for you to make a template to retrofit these to speakers sold before November. I know the drivers are somewhat proud of the front baffle but all you'd really need would be 2 strips of paper that could be taped to the top and bottom of the front the correct distance away from each other. I know we could make that but a PDF file one could download would save us time. After that, it's just getting a drill bit with the same diameter of the magnet and a depth stop on the bit. I probably won't get these due to cats but I'm sure others would jump on it.

We are working on options for people that have the last version of the cabinets. The biggest concern is that you would need to refinish your speakers or the magnets would be exposed.

I curse you a little bit for this decision, but got 'em done anyways.
