I had never heard of SOAD before, but I could hear the bass thumping away over the other bands at Ozzfest meets Vans Warped tour in 1998. I followed the sound until I was right under Shavo and nearly lost my mind with how much I loved the music. It's been my favorite band ever since.
I vividly remember after 9/11, the rumor at my school was that chop suey was like this....pro-terrorist song. Idiotic people thought that the line "self righteous suicide" was like, promoting suicide bombers and terrorists and even as a kid, I knew that was absolutely absurd. It's absurd to begin with, but on top of that the song was written before 9/11 even happened. I just...it's such a vivid childhood memory
This guy is so dope
I won't ask anything. It's just Shavo.
