Don't forget to tamp it down by hand or with an automatic tamper! Then sweep in more sand...

Is the hand tamper enough? I'm holding off till I can rent an automatic but if the manual is good I'm getting it done!

@@shoeless5678 yes u can hand tamp... but I used a carpet remnant because you need a barrier between the stone and metal plate... or rent the automatic tamper with a rubber mat on it... so u don't scratch or chip stone... good luck!
