I love watching you just go for it, no fear, don't worry about something going wrong and if it does just fix it. I admire that because if you spend all your time worrying about something might go wrong nothing will ever get done.
I like watching a guy bring a car back to life, making it run and drive and safe. I can appreciate the hours you put in, on top of your day job. And Queen DD having your back through all of it! I will watch the rest later, as im giving my Fargo a once over before the journey tomorrow to Sobering restorations. Going to be a fun day. If truck cooperates.
FINALLY! Dan do not short cut or say "That's good enough" This is your go to and have fun car just for you. Build it right and that gleam in your eye will be brighter than ever. I can not wait for part #2. Well done my friend, well done.
aint kidding a bit: you is the best car builder/car guy on youtube! small shop, yet you get it done. and you is one of us ( the small guy, not the giant shop people ). aint nothing wrong with those people, but most car lovers, are not rich and have all the tools etc.... keep doing it. peace
Black widow power...wait can I say that ? Oh well it looks great. Thanks to you I'm putting in my floor pans, lots of drilling and grinding to remove all the rusted out panels but I'm half way finished thanks to your vidios
Is it me but I really enjoy seeing the sparks fly from a grinder wheel . The Black Widow just might be my new fav …… wait I still love the 55 the most . Cheers good buddy .
Looks awesomer dan smoking good job I could watch you weld and grind and mechanic till the cows come home lol and good job in the silence of no radio bud
Dan you did a helluva fantastic job on the bottom of the car. I absolutely love the car and what you're doing with it. Keep up the great work and God Bless you guys and your family 🔥💯💪🏼👍👍🙏🙏✌😁✌
Like how you sometimes just make it up as you go along and it always (well almost always) works. Of course based on lots of experience but fun to watch.
Dan you are the man. Someone that that gets with the program and gets it done quick. I would like to see a complete car painted someday. Just like many other subscribers.
i love watching you work , it makes me work harder on my 55 ragtop conversion . i spliced the 2 cowls together today so now it has the convertible windsheild frame on it.
Some things just have to be learned by doing, a book or instructor just can not cover every single thing as not all is the same situation. Great video Mr. Dan.
Wish you wold do more on the black widow conversion. I know it's been a couple of years ago. My favoprite tri -five out of the the 3. Thank you for all you show us in real life.notin millionaire life.
Great vid. You make it look so easy. I guess that’s your experience showing. Thanks for the show. Love this channel and always look forward to new content.👍
When you go to do the front end work. I’d love to see a nice detailed video of the removal and installation of the control arms and all that kind of fun stuff. I know there are other videos on RUclips but would love to see your take on it all. Thanks
Great work like always bud... you make it look easy. I guess with the right tools and lots of knowledge anything is possible right. Keep up the great work my friend shout out to you from Mexico...
Your experience with tri 5s is extensive . You know where to look , how to fix it , where to get parts & what can be substituted . I know this , as I've watched you work on Dani's 55 2 door conversion , that 57 field find 4 door give away , the 56 wagon , 57 2 door conversion sold as a body , the 57 Roadster 2 door & hard top conversion convertible , & this 57 2 door conversion Black Widow project . Those are just the ones I watched you do on video . That's not counting the 32 chop top Ford coup , 2 70 Challengers , 68 Satellite , & at least 1 Chevy truck . You did scare me with that wing window repair on the Cobra , with duct tape . Playing me , I know you were ! The Nova is nice too . Hopefully you'll throw just a little more weld in that rear driver's side fender where it transitions from the rocker into the fender arch . But aye , It's your car , I love watching you do what you do . ROCK ON !
I lucked out and scored a rust free 56 150 utility sedan used by Pac Bell to deliver phone books in Northern CA..probably to our home when I was 10 years old...LOL. It was purchased at auction in 1966 by the auto electric shop that I got it from in 1979. Drove it through town and got pulled over with red lights and a siren. The officer asked what doing driving his car. I told him it was my car and NOT his to which he replied "it should be mine" I asked what the hay was he talking about and he said "you know the 283 in this car...I put that engine in it when I worked for Bills Auto Electric...it should be mine!!! I simply replied "well it's not!" I knew the officer from racing at Sears Point...plus he was one of my clients. I still drive that car here in Las Vegas..LOL You remind me of how we did things in the old days on a shoe string budget. Keep up the good work!
originally b. w.had 6 hole truck brakes .no back seat &air tubes from interior where back seat was to vent or cool back brakes at least my uncle's was equipped that way . keep up great show glad u have in trust in old iron thanks
Great video and you did a lot more teaching and great variety of music. I even learned the new DD Speedshop phrase “Swedge the panel out a little”. Ha ha
Wow Dan another nice car you are a top Builder definitely a nice build you should head on over to rust valley and just pick one at a time and build one after another you will have a lifetime job
Thumbs up for no radio. I can't do it. I have to have music, talk radio or RUclips stories playing while working in the garage. I can't put car video's on while in the garage though. I have to watch those. Nice job on the Black Widow.
Hey Dan, the Widow is looking good! If you’re going to drive it through the winter you should give it a cavity wax treatment, I’ve got a video up on how to make the stuff and get it inside the cavities.
Started watching your channel during the pandemic. Def motivated me to finish or at least work on my projects. If you are gonna use those Chinese control arms like I have done on my 69 gto and 68 chevelle...CHANGE THE BALL JOINTS!!!!! Other than that I don't see much of a difference in cpp arms. I used some moog ones. Works and look great.
Hell Dan Really enjoy your channel and admire your skill and work ethic. Instead of using Dynamat, Rona sells a roof underly which is basically the same thing but costs much less.
Look at those 2 beautiful roadsters in the driveway
Your advice to not overthink it is good for someone like me who does over think a job. Thanks.
I love watching you just go for it, no fear, don't worry about something going wrong and if it does just fix it. I admire that because if you spend all your time worrying about something might go wrong nothing will ever get done.
I like the hr video..... Kicks ass getting an hrs pay at work watching you sling sparks and rust with a grinder
Have you ever thought about looking for a 55 56 57 Chevy truck build? Keep up the great work ! You rock!
I love it when Dan brings things over to the "workbench" to cut them up...
"Watch the Paint" needs to be a t-shirt. It's one of my favorite recurring lines.
Don't over think, imagine a bench, imagine a bolt, got it🙏😁👍 Thanks for sharing Dan

It's amazing how they made the interior materials in tri-5's so fire proof to grinding & welding sparks.
I like it when Dan "swedges it a little". heck of a welder fitter kinda guy.
This ups your game Dan. I really like it
Like how you sometimes just make it up as you go along and it always (well almost always) works. Of course based on lots of experience but fun to watch.

I love the idea of the all business concept of the black widow, 409 Bel Air, that’s what I’d order back then.

Thanks Dan, love how just freehand stuff. Ex cutting that fender with the grinder if I did that the cut would be so uneven and ugly…
Great work Dan, why not buy another LS with a 6 speed manual for the 'Black Widow" and go full on enjoyment. Build it as a keeper.
Hey Dan, the Widow is looking good! If you’re going to drive it through the winter you should give it a cavity wax treatment, I’ve got a video up on how to make the stuff and get it inside the cavities.
Hope its not titled diy cavity wax…lots of pervs will be disappointed
@@franksgarage8551as a pervert I can confirm😃
Dan on the doors you should create a little crater with pick body hammer then you can fill the holes with a lil more weld!
Started watching your channel during the pandemic. Def motivated me to finish or at least work on my projects.
