It's all a publicity stunt to get back into Hollywood because the younger generation have never heard of her, she's an as been.. If she was asked if she could start her life all over again by being a film star or working in a 9-5 job I bet her answer would be working in Hollywood as a movie star. She should be greatful the Director chose her for Blue Lagoon.

Taxi driver was great. And jodie wasnt nude. I think the subject of child traficking isnt easy to tackle in a movie but i think it was done right there wasnt anything overtly sexual i mean it was all implied but there were no sex scenes. She did have nude scenes in the movie "the girl who lived down the lane" were she goes to bed with a boy she was 13 in that but i read that they used her older sister or a body double for the nude scene, dont know if its true. The movie was good, But i agree it isnt necessary to show the nudity of a child, since they can't consent.

@@manuellubian5709 Brooke's grandfather (Frank Shields' father) was a famous champion tennis player - and very handsome. You can see some resemblance in Brooke, in the jaw and chin (especially in the adult Brooke), the nose, lips, the eyebrows, and the sculpted face.

@@manuellubian5709 Frank and Teri got a divorce, but it would seem that Brooke still saw Frank and his family. I seem to remember reading something about Brooke spending vacations and time at her father's home (he was from a wealthy socualite family) and with her step siblings, which she enjoyed as she was an only child in her regular home with Teri.
What I wondered about was what Frank thought of Teri's management of Brooke and all those sexy child photos and roles. Surely he could have gotten custody if he'd wanted to, seeing as he was from a wealthy and prominent family. But perhaps it was Frank's mother, as she had opposed Frank and Teri's marriage and had paid Teri to get an abortion, which Teri obviously did not do. Frank's mother wanted Teri to be gone and to stay away from them.

@@SY-ok2dq That's wild because I certainly have never heard this part to her story -- and I'm from California.
In all the interviews she's ever done she has never once that I remember ever ever spoken of her father, Frank. The only way that people and members of the public even knew about Frank was from documentaries that people did ABOUT her. But in terms of coming directly from her own lips nothing was ever spoken of her father publicly by her.

Not only the moms. There is something systemic that made Terri Shields’ consent possible. If it was a core value within our culture that sexualizing children was horrifically and morally wrong, so much so that movies like _Pretty Baby_ or _Blue Lagoon_ and _Endless Love_ were beyond even conceptualizing, there wouldn’t have been an avenue for Brooke to be exploited by the industry or her mother.
