    I have a navy glen check suit that from a distance, appears to just be a navy suit; but when seen up-close, the glen check is noticeable. Thanks for sharing!

    First class content, Chris. What a blessing that your uncle's decades of bespoke tailoring knowledge was not wasted on his nephew, and now we are getting the benefit of it too. Thank you. The suit you are wearing has a lovely subtle pattern and is well put together with the tie and pocket square. The style of lapel buttonhole is a detail I also noticed. You covered the variations of these in your previous video. As someone who has always purchased `off the peg', the more content like this you post, the more I am determined to invest in a bespoke suit of my own.😊

      Thanks for your comments John, glad you enjoyed the video and its content. I like so many other, only wish I spent a little more time with him and asked him more questions. I would suggest that a man should invest in at least 1 bespoke suit in their life time if the can, the chances are that you probably on need to buy the one to last a life time. My Uncle made mine for me in my late 20's and my son bought his first bespoke suit when he was 21, but you are never to old🙂. Lovely to hear from you again John and thank you for your continued support, hope to see you on the 27th September for the meet and greet🙂👍

    Great video. I would definitely like some advice on pairing with a Prince of Wales plaid. I have a Gieves Ltd. London bespoke jacket I purchased from eBay. It fits as if it was made for me. And it very much resembles the green gray and red over check. Looking forward to your video on what to wear with these types of jackets. Cheers Ron

      Hi Ron, glad you enjoyed the video. I would say that the Prince of Wales pattern is my go to suit for most informal wears, sounds like you got a good jacket at a reasonable price, you really can't beat eBay, it tends to be my go to place for most of my purchases🙂 thank you for your ongoing support for the channel👍🙂

    Ok, a blue Blazer is always I should own.

    • @TheBritishDapper
      @TheBritishDapper  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there, a blue blazer is a great choice and it can give more flexibility, just do not try to match the trousers with the blazer colour, it looks awkwardly like you are trying to make a suit. you should always look at a contrast between the blazer and the trouser, traditionally grey flannels look good, a pair of checked trouser or Prince of Wales trousers always goes well, but if you were to wear a checked jacket, go for plain trousers 🙂👍

    Good video, Chris. I've been of the view that a whole suit in glen check or puppy tooth is 'too much' - perhaps I need to revise my thoughts!? 🙂 Perhaps because I'm quite short but broad? A blazer is on my shopping list though!

      Glad you enjoyed the video, I think when it comes to wearing this type of pattern it can come down to the scale of the pattern more than anything and the cut of the suit that really counts. Thanks for your continued support Yoric 🙂👍
