Absolutely loved that story...and what an amazing inspiration she would make for all of us women today...Too bad she was not written into the History Books because l think she certainly deserves a place after all she did to survive..

I wish u were my father you have so much of who we are & what our heritage is & how we lived, survived, traveled, suffered, triumphed, built family & business, wild times w Apaches & Natives & loved. Yea now days all the kids get trophies win or lose. When they grow up they find out the world doesn't work that way and many off them can't handle it. It's a great thing to love your kids but babing them does them an injustice. Just one guy's opinion.
@@coobay978 couldn't agree more. I was by no means babied a as a child, yet it took me until my early-mid thirties to even start to really get my life together. My dad used to properly whoop my ass as a child. Is that why I had such a hard time and took so long getting my shit straight? Not at all. In fact, looking back on it, I wish he would have been MORE strict, and honestly, more liberal in his dishing out of said ass-whoopin's- maybe then I would have gotten my shit together even earlier. Your job as a parent is not to be your kids' friend, it's to be their guide, their teacher, to show them how to live life and be an adult. Now that I'm 40 and a grown man, do I hold any of my dad's ass-beatings against him? Not at all, he is now the best friend I've got. I guess what I'm saying is don't baby your kids, don't spoil them, and don't try to be their friends (not saying don't be there for them or be supportive of them when they need it, just worry more about guiding them on the right path than wether or not they think you're the coolest parents ever), instead show them the way, discipline them when they stray, and when they have themselves become functional adults there will be plenty of time to be their friends.
