Thank you for helping us all get through this pandemic! We helped in the El Nido feeding project and started watching in March 2020 during the USA lock down. Steve /Nancy -California USA
Chris & C: would like to hear what you have learned and your tips using the GoPro. How long battery lasts for you. How you stay ready with how many batteries etc. Favorite accessories. You will love the GoPro 10 when you make the jump up. Also, they have a new battery that supposedly (?) last longer called an "enduro".
Advice from a retired teacher who traveled with two sons...good news with homeschooling! Your child will have an advantage in learning. In teacher terms, it's called "whole learning", which means your child absorbs the unique traveling areas and experiences and will have an innate learning system that kicks in. Visual, audial, kinetic, etc...all of the tricks to learning come together with the experience. Some children learn to read phonetically; some learn from being exposed to unique experiences with lots of exposure to words, verbal and written. My oldest son was reading before he was 4 simply by enjoying sitting in my lap in the evening reading him his favorite stories and then he read signs--at the zoos, parks, adventures, along the highway, etc...My youngest son was different because he was absorbed with music so he learned how to read both thru whole language experiences and phonetically when I could tell he was ready to learn all the unique ways our language is formed. Both sons are grown and both are still avid readers. On the down side, they never excelled in math & that's probably because I didn't expose them to enough challenges--and that's because I'm not a math person. My oldest son is now a soil agronomist (dirt doctor!) and my younger son teaches music and is a professional musician. Both sons long to travel more but they are in that span of life where they are "working", on their own, and they envy me because I still "go", especially when my husband is busy farming. I'm 68 & a life long learner; lucky to have a niece who lives in Merida and loves to show me the uniquely beautiful Mexico. I'm also a lover of Italy and the Czech Republic--my ethnicity! Nazdravi! (Enjoy life!)
I think that's why they never run into many issues because they're so chill. And she also brings a feminine energy most guys from the u.s don't normally get to see so it's nice to see them both. The vlogs are sooooo much better than the "passport bro" and sex tourism style videos that come out from other creators that post clickbait etc.

These guys are a great couple and they are very compatible and entertaining in all their travel videos. Chris is lucky to find a woman with a sense of humor and the ability to laugh at herself which seems pretty unusual these days.
Congrats guys !!!! 200k is a great milestone. Next stop 500k !!! The journey seems so surreal from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, The Philippines, England, Portugal, USA, Mexico, Aruaba, Curacao, DR, PR, Columbia and Brazil. Sorry, if i missed some parts of the journey. Thank you for being real and down to earth. Your authenticity is what connects me to your journey.
@@JumpingPlaces I forgot to mention India, Indonesia, Myanmar and Sri-Lanka as well. I guess, I followed your journey from 2019, the Asia ones to begin with.
Your travel blog is the best...very realistic...no sugar coating, just the real thing. The drone views are amazing...hotels, foods, prices, people and culture are presente nicely. Feels like I’m travelling with you guys.
As usual, beautiful video. Carol, when you mentioned your most memorable moment, when you landed in the Philippines and Cris had tears in his eyes.; Cris's face just lit up and you both smiled. This brought tears to my eyes. You are one gorgeous couple.💞
You both can be very proud of your accomplishment. It happened because you provide great information, photography and seem humble and real. Keep it going. Thanks
So many travel vloggers are nothing but show offs and braggards bt this couple are very real and down to earth and honest and people love that abt them and they give great honest account of their travels .
You guys are my couple goals. You are both so calm. I just dated a guy who fought a lot with me, always screaming about something. And when I see you guys so chill, it reminds me, that no, it (being in a couple) doesn't have to be like that.
Enjoy Argentina at this time of the year the further south you go the more hours of daylight there are.The first time I went to Ushuaia I remember that there was only about 30 mins of darkness so dinner at midnight is quite normal.Patagonia is stunningly beautiful but she is a hard mistress as a group of us found out when we skied across part of the Chilean side of Patagonia beautiful sunny days were replaced by a snow storm that lasted days.Happy new year and keep bringing your subscribers interesting videos.
Well done guys, you’ve come such a long way and your success on RUclips is so well deserved. Love all your interesting and relaxing content and the way you present and edit. Best wishes for 2022. 🤗
Congrats on the growth of your channel!! Wishing y’all a year of prosperity and even more success, Carol you’re a doll so beautiful and genuine, Love your composure 💞
When I watched your videos from the Philippines, I was really fascinated by the paradise-like sceneries of their islands and I thought to myself their tropical nature is the most beautiful in the world.
I love these two. Stay humble, keep it cheap and never change. I've seen vloggers become snobby and very up themselves, but Chris and Carol are always down to Earth and super lovely. The way you two are is what makes me want to support you and watch your every vid xxx Thank you
I’m so sorry for your loss Chris :( And, even if you just stay in one place in the future, I’m 101% sure your daily or weekly vlogs will still have tons of views..
Love it! I found you guys through Chris' mom. She posted about your channel in a Facebook travel group. :) I can't wait to see your adventures for 2022!❤
WoW , that’s so many more then most , not surprised you’re so likable and beautiful couple , whatever you do going forward will be successful. Good luck and thanks for sharing
Very well done on reaching 200k subscribers! We've been watching since the early Brazil videos and really enjoy your relaxed style of travel. You both seem like great, genuine people. Keep up the good work 👍👍
Carol you are definitely calm for a Brazilian- my ex is from Belo Horizonte (I'm from Montreal) and she and her family (who were very nice) were certainly more emotional and demonstrative. From my experience being around Brazil about 10 times (not just BH) you are an exception.I also don't think you have the typical Brazilian accent. But maybe it's just the Carioca accent which I'm not as used to. BTW if you want to see snow come to Montreal! Anthony Bourdain visited once during the winter and loved it.
FYI, In addition to travel and exploration, Taiwan is also amazing for raising kids too ;) Friendly supportive government here & tons of parks catered to kids/young parents.
I will give you some very good advice. The more video's you do snorkling and SCUBA diving and showing people what they normally can't see on TV or any where else, your channel will take off like a rocket ship. I remember when I was a Kid , my whole family use to to tune into Jaques Casteau, Forgive my spelling, every week when he came on. So focus as much as you can on things we can't see on TV and just watch your channel Grow!
I am almost 67 year old seaman and gone around 75 countries in the world, but now I see the different countries with your eyes while watching your videos
All the best for the future and improved health! Beautiful dress, classic Brazilian with a lot of colors. Your vlogs from Amazonas are very nice! I have a lot of good memories from there for about ten years ago. A lot was the same, but the boats in the harbor was much more modern now. Also, you traveled down Rio Solimao? The milky river. How about the risk for Malaria going down there? We traveled on Rio Negro with no risk for Malaria. All the best!
You two are perfect for each other and the way your wife looks at you i can tell how much she loves you...you are both very lucky! Lovely couple...just subscribed !
Your content is great. One of the things I like best about it is that you are both so genuine, not just in personality, but also in the way you portray the places you visit. Quite a few of the other vloggers I've watched seem to go for the instagram version of travel. Don't want to say their experiences aren't valid, but when something is over-curated and over-produced, I think it leads to on-site disappointment for those who follow in their steps. I've been to several of the places you've shown videos of, and feel like you do a great job of show and tell, while still being honest. Thank you. Also, so glad you've got a big back catalog I can catch up on rather than watch Putin attempting to become dicktater (sic) of even more territory.
Thanks so much for mentioning Anthony B - a hero to many! And Gloria Maria who I did not know, but now do - she sure is an inspiration - and a new heroine to me!
Nice Q & A vlog! Your camping in the desert in northern India was quite memorable, from this viewers perspective too. I still remember how beautiful, quiet, and surreal it was. Thanks for including my question in this vlog. Your channel is still my favorite out of all the channels I subscribe to. Thank you for your hard work and for your inspiration!
Love you guys, looking forward to your future travels. Amazing to hear Anthony Bourdain was a person of interest. In your own way, you are him….So adventurous and free spirited.
I'm from Philippines and I'm here in Brazil too, Your channel is just my inspiration to start a vlog,I hope my Vlog will grow too as yours,Happy New Year e Feliz Ano Novo!!!!
Hands down my favorite vlogger/traveler. The content are presented very well, and the videos are done almost like you have your cameraman. I love your easygoing style. Keep it up...Thanks
Hello Couple, the Jumping Places, you are part of our journey too. We are happy that you have liked our country on your visit. Our day isn't complete without viewing your vlog up to the end. You're such a nice and lovely couple. We Will Miss You, and you are Always Welcome to Visit the Philippines. God Bless You Always ! 🙏🙏🙏🙂🙂♥️♥️
I love all of your videos, and I love the Name Jumping places and I think that you are the perfect couple. I do not see many people in the world that are like the two of you. I started watching your videos about one hour ago. I did not know that Brazil was so huge.
As for me you 2 have the best travel web site, keep up with the great work enjoy them all, hope 1 of these days you will return to Mexico and visit Baja north .
Sorry on behalf of the Dominican Republic. Some people make you feel unsafe. For the most part everyone there is hospitable and friendly. My best wishes as always. You guys are amazing.
Oh my God!!! You guys really made my day! I never thought you would end up using my question, with the amount of people that probably sent them in, lol. Anyway, thanks guys. This is super awesome! All the best in the new year, and your upcoming travels!
I wish you well with your health Chris. You are in a country with loads of it so I highly recommend Tumeric which is excellent for inflamation and lots of other benefits. Get it fresh and take it with you. I get mine fresh whenever I visit St. Lucia and use it extensively. You can add it to almost anything you cook. Roger
Thank you both...we had an incredible time in Manaus , juma resort, and president falls. Recommend that if you ever go to Kenya(where i was born) pls consider ..Malini where we have great beaches, vasco da gama pillar (portugal), Marafa (mini grand canyon), Rocketbase snorkeling in marinevpsrk, Gede Ruins, Masai Mara (3 days ideally August for migrations )....Best of Luck
We are very sorry about your lossand we just hope that you will survive after a while. You are a beautiful people ,always very sincere and we treat you like our family. You are always welcome to visit us in Indiana,USA so we can do samo traveling together, like to Niagara Falls,to Indianapolis,to Detroit,to Chicago,to Madison/Wisconsin or to Nashville/Tennessee.We also have friends in Montreal,Quebec,Toronto and London and Winsor/Canada and we can always visit them together.Stay cool and healthy,God bless.Greetings from Michigan City,Indiana/USA.
Hi chris & carol and i hope you have a very very happy new year and good luck for the future. I had thought that you weren`t looking too good a few videos back you seem to have very dark eyes like worn out and very tired but now your looking much younger and healthier i`m pleased to see, good news you were able to get tested and can control it going forward, love your vlogging together and look forward to many more years with you both, as for carol well she`s just Beautiful and such a lovely soft calm temperament. Love Jonny.
Hi Chris and Carol, thanks for the many journeys so far. I will be retiring in Subic Bay with my wife who is from Olongapo and we have condo's in Buena Vista Olongapo which will be rentals. Looking into purchasing farms in Zambales. We are planning to live in the Algarves 3 months out of the year then visiting family in Australia, Japan, Canada. Keep up the journey.
Hi couple, just met u guys. So about be tired of traveling and do stuffs, we can see same way as work every day, that make me tired also and can trigger burnout. When I was traveling over a year, I could see the tired came over time, but still it's different, off course, when u travel and has a kinda work, it's a balance like a normal daily life... Balance it's the key
Hi Cris & Carol, thanks for choosing my country Phiippines as your best tropical country. Been watching your videos for over a year now since your lockdown days here and I really like your simple ways. Keep on travelling and Happy New year to you both.
Congratulations Chris and Carol! Lots of highs and lows last year. Sorry to hear about your loss, Chris. Lost 2 family members too, not covid but maybe even more surprising at that. You guys stay healthy 🙏
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU CHRIS AND CAROL FOR GIVING VIEWERS A SHARE OF YOUR TRAVELS! I am a Filipino/American and the last time I was in my country, the Philippines was December 2018 and back to US in February 2019 and kept me away from traveling because of the worldwide Covid. I finally will be back there for a couple of months this holiday season. I started traveling now last month to Calgary and Vancouver areas. Thank you for mentioning the Philippines many times in your view interviews questions and answers. There is no place like home especially that Christmas starts in the months ending in "ber" in the Philippines. Good vibes, stay safe and hope we cross path during our travels as I have already made reservations for worldwide travels for 2023! Jumping Places and Itchy Boots are highly recommended for travel knowledge! Awesome Chris and Carol. Bless your hearts!
I bumped into you guys in " the Philippines" not literally but.. You've guessed it on your channel.. Love travelling with you guys.. Look forward to the Argentinian vlogs.. But you guys and the channel will always for me take me back to the Philippines and one day I'll take me and the wife and experience it for ourselves a" BRIT" and a " JAMAICAN"..we might even bump into each other in a kayak island hopping..! Good luck with your house hunting..!! Happy new year to you both 🙏💯👏🇬🇧🍻
Thank for all your videos/content over the last couple of years. Congratulations on your 200k now on to the next milestone and country wherever that may be. Looking forward to viewing more of your great videos as my travel ventures begin to resume. Congratulations
Sou Mochileiro Estrangeiro aqui no Brasil, Sóu da Asia, esse canal e minha inspiração de fazer vídeos, Espero que meu canal vai crescer também como vocês, Parabéns e feliz Ano Novo!!!
I can’t even remember whether I started watching you or Trevor and Anna, but ever since the Philippines I’ve subscribed and religiously follow you both! Can’t wait to see your future vlogs!
You should visit nothern parts of Norway. There you will see snow falling, from october till april, and aurora too. It's even beautiful in the summer months with the midningt sun and a lot of beautiful nature ☺
Really enjoying your videos. Planning our trip to PORTUGAL soon so thank you for your tips and info. Be safe out there and travel on. Best wishes from Beautiful BC Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you for the Q & A video. Happy New year! It's good to see Carol being more comfortable talking .I am so happy at your sucess with RUclips as your employer.200K is wonderful I know the more subs ,the more views, and then more income. .I'm sorry to hear about your "leaky gut" and try to follow the die .I knew someone who had to give up all raw fruit and veggie .She could eat cooked ones. What is one of your favorite beaches? What is one of your favorite cuisines?
Hiya, Love this. My Favorite RUclips couple. Always amazing content. I have learned so much about countries by watching your videos. Sorry for your loss. I prefer you to work alone. The tours are better. You are always honest about places. I have always respected you guys for the editing, and your videos, are so much work. I use my phone to video. I still can not work out my GoPro. Lol. Great to hear you have found what works for you with your stomach. I love watching your adventures. You guys are lovely. You're a great team.
Love you site Anthony Bourdain as one of your influences. The best thing about him was his respect for the places and people he visited. I sense the same thing from you guys. Go to El Chalten in Patagonia. It was so easy to go on hikes right from town to some iconic scenery.
Great Q&A. People see your videos and think it's easy work, not knowing how much goes on in the background. Maybe try to film bits and pieces of one Full day (incl file transfers, editing, slow internet, making time to cook, small editing mistakes that then need to be re-edited and re-rendered, not in the best mood for filming that day etc etc). There is way more work than people can imagine, and I think people will appreciate your efforts and videos even more. Merry Christmas and Happy 2022
Hi happy new year chris and carole congratulations and i'm still watching the videos from el nido and manila philippines !! they are really my favourites !! with the lockdown do you remember they are unique ! You are a beautiful couple😊 Keep on making beautiful videos ! And be blessed !

Sorry on behalf of the Dominican Republic. Some people make you feel unsafe. For the most part everyone there is hospitable and friendly. My best wishes as always. You guys are amazing.
No problem, still had an amazing time there. It was the most beautiful country that we have visited in the Caribbean so far :D
Roger

Love Jonny.
Great news . I was hoping you would go South . Congratulations on 200 k .
Thank you for making my country (the Philippines) your tropical paradise. It is for thousands of other tourists also.
So glad your channel has reached 200k!! I followed you guys during the pandemic when you got stuck in the Philippines (paradise). I love your videos.
"A Cook's Tour" is still my favorite. Just Bourdain at his rawest pre-celebrity form. Didn't realize you guys are fellow fans!
And that right there is what love looks like. Bravo you two! All the best in 2022.

Hi Chris and Carol! We enjoy looking at your interview and we wishing you al the best. Jaco and Trudy
This was great and just the right length to get to all the questions with your thoughtful answers. All the best and safe travels in 2022!
Love you site Anthony Bourdain as one of your influences. The best thing about him was his respect for the places and people he visited. I sense the same thing from you guys. Go to El Chalten in Patagonia. It was so easy to go on hikes right from town to some iconic scenery.
I have leaky gut too, cut out all dairy, and eat fermented foods like Kimchi
Guys you have to vlog from Curitiba and Florianopolis, lots of good filming there before you leave Brazil again.
I love you, guys! I literally created my bucket list based on the vids you guys shared with us. Thank you! ❤️
