You are doing such a wonderful exploration of Guatemala! One of my favorite countries!!! May I make a suggestion… don’t leave your room door open to the outdoors. Once, when I went to bed, I laid my head on the pillow, something moved. I thought it was my friends playing a joke. I looked and a baby possum nose peaked out under the pillow. The security guard who removed it said it happens, often.
I remember seeing the very first videos that Carroll would start talking in up until then she didn’t feel comfortable and now look at her. She is a rockstar.
I went to Guatemala for a month and stayed for 3- mostly at Lake Atitlan. I opted for the Rio Dulce/Livngston route instead of Semuc Champey. I'm glad to have seen it through your eyes. Flores is fun and I hope you can stay in a jungle lodge for your Tikal trip. I did for 2 nights to participated in a sunrise tour - totally worth it!
I love living through you guys vicariously, and that you travel to one beautiful natural area to another. That’s how I traveled. Guatemala is gorgeous for sure.
Loved this episode starting with the breakfast by the river. The waterfalls were way more impressive than i thought they would be. That candle light cave tour was so unique and somewhat eerie. Thanks for a great adventure.😍
Nature breathtaking! The cave was quite adventurous for you,😊the waterfall inside was rapid, and balancing in darkened water with a gradually shrinking candle, that must have been a very strange experience! Chris and Carol, you have my admiration and thanks for allowing us to see these beautiful places with you 👍
Hiya Chris and Carol. That was a long day travelling but thankfully you had some stunning views. Great price for the accommodation. Lovely place. Gorgeous place to have breakfast. Stunning, so relaxing listening to the sound of the water. And both dishes looked delicious. Lovely hike, with spectacular views. The heights make my knees feel funny just viewing. LOL. A new place you have brought to my attention. Never heard of it before. Gorgeous. My feet are ticklish. I could not let the fish touch my feet. LOL. Good free pedicure though. Another wonderful experience. Aww. I love the locals. The little girl is so cute. Love the furbabies. Indian Jones, love it. The cave is amazing thank you for sharing. I could not do that. That was scary in parts. I am with you both thank god you did not do that water part. You did amazing to do what you did. Watching made me feel anxious. 20 minutes is a long time. The water and how powerful it is wonderful but scary. Raining days give you downtime, and a bit of relaxation. For sure. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
I just want to thank you guys for your channel. I am retired and unable to travel due to lack of $$ and health issues. I started following you when you visited the island of Vieques where I now live. Your travels are a great diversion for me and help me experience what I can't do any longer. I especially enjoyed your travels through Brasil. Over 50 years ago I spent 3 months in Sao Paulo and Rio as an exchange student. It brought back fond memories of my time there....the food, the music, and most importantly the people.
Thank you Chris and Beautiful Tomb Raider Carol.🫶🏻The Mayan prophetess. Thank goodness for not going into the unknown cave drop.😱 Once again, Carol and dogs.😂 Chris, the lodge came with alarm 🐓.🫶🏻 Eastwood said; “A man must know his limit.”🙄🤔 no cave dive please.😱 Thanks for compèring the scenery to Croatia. My favourite holiday destination.🫶🏻 Thanks for not showing us big cities.👌🏾 Your videos are just what a holiday should be…Chillaxing!🥰 Countryside.🏝️🏖️👌🏾🇬🇧
Congratulations to you guys to heads Guatemala this week in great joy & peace to tours many places in the interior parts of this Central America country in November of 2024❤❤❤
Thanks you guys so much for this new amazing video for you guys to heads Guatemala to tours many amazing places in great joy & peace in Central America November of 2024❤❤❤
Terraced rivers/waterfalls are the best for swimming. This one in Guatemala is particularly stunning. There's also one in the Philippines in the northern section of Luzon island of the Philippines called Kaparkan, but nowhere near as large as the one in Guatemala.
That's exactly the same hotel I stayed at when I went - the swimming pool which I think was a basketball or tennis court.. I swam in that river which was lovely at the time but picked up a pretty bad bacteria from the water which cut short semuc champey. Ended up in Guatemala city hospital for 2 days feeling like I will never get well enough to get my flight back to London... Lessons learnt that trip!
As always excellent video!! After traveling through Guatemala in 1972, to describe it, I said that Guatemala is to the world what a nice park is to a busy city. Your diet and exercising is paying off my friend. Thanks and keep up the good work.
O mannn the tu nel part was so scary for me too. But I faced my fears and jumped in. I bumped my forhead a biy but I was glad that I didnt let my fears stop me. That cave tour is a 10 out of 10 on the intense meter.
My God the cave thing was too cool, I would have not dared it, I think you used the Action 5 inside the cave, the candle lighting and the camera capturing it was cool!! 👌👌
Oh man i wish you would have done the rest of the cave! Sad you didnt go in a group so you can see others do it. But let me tell you, the rest of that cave tour is insane! They have you rappel up a waterfall, cliff jump into dark waters from really high and so many other crazy things. Funniest part is there is zero helmets of life jackets. Guatemala for you! Hahahaha
What a great video! Hey, I will hand you the candle! Just go through this hole and I will hand you the candle! I am glad you guys didnt do it. I think this has been one of my favorite videos. My husband and I have been watching you since you started. Your content is great.
18:20 - Good job, Carol. 😂❤ I did not feel safe seeing that d@mn tunnel. Assertive queen! 😂 And thank you Chris for respecting her wishes. 🙏🏼 Beautiful cave, tho. 😍😍😍
Excellent video and information as usual! Added to my list. I’ll pass on cave exploration though lol thank you for letting me experience it through you.
Hello my friends✌️ As always a great video 👍 I’ll be in Guatemala in march/april ‘25. It looks amazing. If I may ask, did you have any issues using ATM’s to get local currency? 🙏✌️🤙
I've gotten lost inside a cave crawling inside dirt tunnels following a guide but I'd never want to go in one again where you can't stand/walk. 🙄 glad you didn't go further into the water. That looked scary.
I did Semuc Champey in January and the cave, when our guide pushed me down the 'slide' I'd no idea where I'd land! It was brilliant but something you'd never be allowed to do in Europe haha
yeah after we watched videos we realized it wasn't a big drop haha, couldn't really understand what we were jumping down at the time. Definitely wouldn't be able to do that in many countries especially without a helmet e.t.c lol
Looks like an amazing country. Less crowded (for now). Waterfalls are the best. I was surprised even you Chris would not slide down that cave waterfall. That tells me it was a bit too much. lol You are generally game for pretty much everything. 😅
Wow!!! I am so impressed by this video!! It's making me want to go asap! How does this compare to Thailand for example? I know it's different but I'd be curious for you to again explain the best places you've been to. I'm also eager to see El Salvador. You have shared such beautiful places and it's a shame that the world doesn't know of these places....or maybe not a shame, that way they are preserved. I will begin to research trips from Los Angeles to Guatemala. Eager to see Tikal as well.

That tunnel was insane! When he told you to jump down the fall I thought he must be joking. Well done, guys.
Haha yeah people do it, I think it’s only like a 1 meter drop
Staying young enjoying Carolina's Videos ❤❤❤...In the cave, candle lights, carolina looks like gold..
She's radiant isn't she?

I wouldn't have gone down that waterfall either. This was an amazing video. It was totally worth it. Gorgeous.
Loved this episode starting with the breakfast by the river. The waterfalls were way more impressive than i thought they would be. That candle light cave tour was so unique and somewhat eerie. Thanks for a great adventure.😍
So happy you were able to have a sunny day to explore the jungle/river area. This is a beautiful area to visit in Guatemala.
I’m really enjoying the branching out from beaches (which I love btw). Wonderful job!
Glad you like them!

Loving your Guatemala videos. How many days were you guys in Guatemala?
Around 3 weeks but going quite slowly
Guatemala! "Charma Paradiso!"! 😊
Hello my friends✌️ As always a great video 👍 I’ll be in Guatemala in march/april ‘25. It looks amazing. If I may ask, did you have any issues using ATM’s to get local currency? 🙏✌️🤙
That moment in the cave was scarry.. I even could walk a bit in. Good decision not to slide. 😊👍
I also noticed in your voice it wasn't fun.
I've gotten lost inside a cave crawling inside dirt tunnels following a guide but I'd never want to go in one again where you can't stand/walk. 🙄 glad you didn't go further into the water. That looked scary.
Next adventure, guys.. please visit Vanuatu 💕
