    I really don't understand why people think having a baby in your 40's are too old! I was pregnant at the age of 44 without freezing my eggs or having IVF. Throughout my life I always kept myself healthy by exercising, eating right and taking care of my body! On October 12, 2012 my husband and I had a 6lb, 3oz happy and healthy baby girl!

    The comment about your kid being 20 when you're 60... sadly I know someone who had kids younger and passed away at 39. His youngest didn't even get 10 years with him. If you lived until your 90s you could have 50 years with your child. I know several 80+ individuals that are still in great health.

      My mom had me at 40. My dad was 48. My mom is now 81 and my dad was 88 when he passed last year. I am the youngest of my siblings and I had the stamina and wherewithal to care for them in their last days and health crisis. It is an honor. However, when I was in grade school, I constantly got teased that my mother was "old". But really, she was the age I am now, and I don't feel old. Children can be mean, but what wasn't understood is that my parents were older and established, whereas the bully who teased me parents weren't. They were much younger than my parents perhaps by 20+ years. Needless to say, older parents can certainly get a lot of time with their children. I got 40 years and still counting.

      💯 Absolutely....age is what it is..aging..we all doing it everyday. The Gag is the 70s, 80s, and 90s crew are winning. I have been to 8 funerals this year with people younger than me and all of them from so called natural causes which means not taking care of themselves...prayerfully I will have a healthy baby next year and I'm way past 45yrs😮😂

    What a rude comment about you being 60 while your child will be 20. So what? I had a career by age 22. Your child could very well be set before you turn 65. Are people expecting women to just go out and have a child because of societal standards? I’m glad you stated that you wanted to be with the right person before making that kind of commitment. There are many broken people in broken relationships bringing children into the world who end up being broken as well. Thanks for sharing Dr. Nina!

And now you're on your way to motherhood. I agree with you about not being too old to start your family. I was 38 and 40 years old when I had my two son's. I was very healthy and I had no complications. I didn't even experience morning sickness. I was just a little more fatigued at times. Your relationship with your child will be just fine. At this age you're more mature, patient and financially secure. That's how it was for me. I've been married now for almost 30 years and my son's are great young men. 24 and27 years old. Why do people act as if you can't get pregnant after 35, as if were impossible? I notice this particularly with Americans. It's so strange.

    • @Bre_Creatively
      @Bre_Creatively Год назад +2

      Yes - here in America it’s definitely a pressure to conceive early bc if you wait until late 30s you’re doomed! When I talk to other women in other countries they say the pressure to have children is still there of course, BUT they don’t feel as if having children is out of the picture at 40. I mean, in the states we actually call pregnancy after 35 a geriatric pregnancy. As a woman still trying to conceive at 39 it is definitely scary and the societal belief that it’s too old at 40 definitely has contributed to my fear that it won’t happen. I’ve sense just released the fear and will just keep going and trust God. His timing is perfect.

    • @kjerit630
      @kjerit630 Год назад

      The funny thing is, this notion of being 'too old' to have children after 35 is only 1 or 2 generations old because guess what? Before the invention of birth control, women WERE having children well into their 40s and 50s. The only other options were, stop having sex with your husband at 35 (slim chance!), or you lost your husband through death or divorce. So all the fear mongering is to further control and push women to make poor decisions to rush and have children at the so-called right age. Biological clock is real, but plenty of women have had healthy babies and smooth deliveries up until menopause since the beginning of time!

    People really need to stop saying that stupid comment about you'll be 70 or 80 when their 30 so what it's so ridiculous to think a person's age alone means they should not have a child. I see so many 20 something early 30s who can't raise children properly because they financially unfit, unstable homes environments just immature poor children have no quality of life. I'd rather have a stable 40 something year old mother who can provide for me financially emotionally and everything rather than she just be young thats such a stupid statement it keeps being said in many vlogs, I see my sister in law had her first at 18 other 2 by the age of 27 she passed away at 33 leaving 3 children she couldn't care for left no money or support because she wasn't prepared to have children she was struggling life isn't promised because were a certain age my coworker daughter died at 25 with a toddler so stop mentioning people's age as a factor to have children so ridiculous so many teens and twenties women unfit overweight health issues no energy so bs 40 year old fit healthy look 20 something feel good.

Not going to lie, it definitely felt harder all nine months but then again this time I was actually working so that factored in. My ob/gyn did tell me I was in the high risk age but she was super on top of it and I went and got tested for a whole lot more than when I was pregnant with my other two and more often. Thankfully when the day came I was able to deliver naturally, no complications, and a healthy 7lb baby. He's almost 2 now 🥰

    I’m 39 and getting pregnant has proven to be more difficult than expected. I have lean PCOS so now we are in the process of getting that worked out ahead of IVF (if we need it - we shall see). We are starting IVF next year by the summer if we don’t conceive - I’ll be 40 in March and baby the fear of it never happening truly does creep in… you are so right about the mental gymnastics that women go through in this process, but God is greater. I know that God is going to bless us, but I also know that preparation is truly required - spiritual, physical, and definitely mental. I worried about the age factor as well, but listen - from what I hear children from older parents tend to fair better… don’t mind the haters!
    Anyway - you have a beautiful story and I am a new follower. 🩵

    I am so happy for you Sis, but most of all I'm so proud of you. I've been watching your videos for years, through your weight loss journey, your meal prep videos and so much more. I have to tell you thank you for being such an inspiration. But mostly for sharing the parts of your life that weren't always so easy. I have learnt so much from you, and I have to agree with you about putting yourself first, loving what you do, taking care of your mental, physical & spiritual health. It took me years to get to this point and now that I'm doing that in my 50's I'm drawing so many Blessings into my life. The one thing I would tell any woman is the importance of taking care of you, you are your first priority. I know you're going to be an amazing mother, looking forward to sharing with you this new chapter of your life. Love and light ❤❤❤

    My parents were both 29 when they had me I was 14 when dad died at 42 and I was 28 when my mum died at 57 , 40 is the me 30 you are fit an healthy when your child is 30 you will be 70 fit and healthy if worried about what could happen you would have never got married some people are very young and have a baby but things can go wrong with any pregnancy. , I do think if you are 60 or 70 you should think more seriously before you have children as as the risk for both mother and baby are much higher xx

    You are an inspiration and I have watch you grow over the years. You are well balanced and just know that once your baby arrive your life and routine will shift as you adjust to motherhood and align your new life around your baby. You will be okay although I not like to give folks advice but it’s important to know if you don’t know. Most doctors push for c-section as oppose to natural birth.

    Im still watching. Im 48, 49 in Dec. Never married, no kids. Damn sure wasn't because of a career. If it was, maybe I'd feel better. Never saw self here. But, its too late for me. Too scared to date (2 dudes told me no man would want me because of my fibromyalgia and depression. It stuck with me even though male friends were like eff them fools, they weren't real men.) I can't afford to adopt, even though job would reimburse. Another male friend said maybe meant to not have kids bc of my depression. Ummm, I'd mever hurt my kids. And if i stopped being suicidal because of niblings, what would i do for my own? I sometimes daydream of being a mom (of my own child) or wife.
    But really, i quit hoping. Dreaming. Wishing. Stuck in job. Life wont get any better & i need to be grateful bc it has been worse. Just feel like a failure. Faith low. Sorry. Didnt mean to be debby downer. Another reason I'm alone too. No friends. People dont understand why depressed. Lost friends because of it, especially when lost job, mom, house, and another job in less than 2 years time. 10 years ago and i still just stay to myself. So if you think your life sucks... it could be like mine.

      @msbrandymo, Why not just foster a child? Btw, I'm 57 n check all the same boxes exception being Mom is still here and not employed due to disability. Oh, yeah as depressing as it is wanting children and never getting to have them I had to learn from observing other family's that it is far worse to have kids that grow up to be an adult nightmare that you can t get rid off. We forget our kids will be teenagers and adults WAY longer than they are little kids. For people like us that suffer from clinical depression it mighr be just too much. Plus, clinical depression passed down to our children If I'm not mistaken. Any way back to BBD's awsome pregnancy celebration.
