Hi Dr. Nina we have similar experiences. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years. I finally found a great OBGYN who listened to me, I had a HSG in Oct 22 and had my egg count. I found out I had fribroids and low egg count. I actually made peace with not having children. God is so amazing, I'm currently on a travel assignment and I found out I'm pregnant. Currently 11 weeks, I just stop trying and let God take control.

Same here! I had a failed IVF cycle after being diagnosed with low ovarian reserve. I was only producing 1-2 eggs per cycle. After the failed IVF cycle i gave up hope on having any more children and I got pregnant naturally at 40 and currently have a 5 month old😊

Thank you for sharing your experience. When I was 24 yrs old I was diagnosed with PCOS and was told that it would be very difficult to get pregnant. In my first marriage we tried for 5 years and couldn’t get pregnant. Once we accepted that we may not have children, I became pregnant with my daughter then 2 years later my son (I was in my 30s). Our marriage didn’t work out and I got remarried again at 39 to my now amazing husband. I became pregnant 3 months before our wedding day and miscarried a month before we got married. We were devastated. I miscarried 2 more times so we decided to go to a IVF clinic and was told that both of us had the fertility of 20 year olds but they couldn’t explain why I couldn’t hold a pregnancy. During our next consultation to start medication, I fell pregnant. They immediately started me on progesterone and baby aspirin and now I have an adorable 3 year old at age 44 and currently 7 weeks pregnant with my 4th child. We kept our faith thru this journey and God always make a way thru the storm.
As an embryologist, seeing so many people struggle with fertility is so heartbreaking but I’m glad we’re talking about it

Thank you! And blessings to you. I feel blessed that we really didn’t try long and managed to conceive naturally. But my experience opened my eyes to so many who struggle for years. It’s so hard and yet understandable.

Don't give up hope. My friend had failed IVFs and gave up hope. But God blessed her with a beautiful baby girl. It took her 10 years of trying, and she was 43 when she had the baby. When the time is right, God will bless you with a baby.

I love this!! My husband and I have been ttc for a while now.....I have low ovarian reserve and been avoiding fertility treatment hoping and praying it'll happen naturally, but I've made the decision to look into fertility treatment, I'm scheduled for a visit next month 🤞🏾
Thank you for sharing, infertility is rarely talked about, I myself experienced infertility because of blocked fallopian tubes and went through 2 failed IVF cycles in my mid to late 30’s the year I turned 40 I had just accepted I would be childless but God had other plans and I became pregnant naturally I had my daughter when I was 41.
During my journey one of the things that stick out for me was the insensitivity I experienced from medical staff and other women.
You have me crying over here. Oh many prayers and blessings to you three. Much love! Yes three is my number too. My 1st child I conceived in March and he was born in December. He is and still a true blessing to me even at 21 years of age. Enjoy the entire journey with your blessing. Yes God's timing is the best timing and joy!

This is a great topic that needs to be had. Infertility is more common than we know! In my 29th birthday I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis. Never heard of it before. But I learned! I have two amazing nieces and two beautiful godkids! God is good!

Oh Dr. Nina this gave me all kinds of emotions. I am so grateful for your transparency and willingness to help others despite things that you and hubby had to deal with, but God.
My husband and I went through doing that starting last year but we were going to do the IUI...it was stressful especially for him because of what we found out.
This process for us especially me made me feel like I was a number in line waiting to be next. We didn't feel like there was any compassion during the process and maybe that is how it is...but my personality doesn't do well with things like that.
We did stop and are looking to most likely adopt for the future.
I am glad even though difficult you had someone who made you feel human.

Thanks for sharing your IVF story, I think that a lot of people can benefit from it. I think we don't talk about IVF because we believe that it's something that's unattainable to us. Specifically because of the costs. But it's good that insurance covers a portion of the cost. I look forward to more videos as your pregnancy progresses.

I’m going through 2 years of infertility and it is a painful journey and it doesn’t help when people keep asking you “when are you having a baby?” I’m trusting God that it will happen for my husband and I. We’ve been married since October 19, 2019 approaching 4 years of marriage, I’m getting very impatient. I’ve even starting therapy and of course had the pastor pray over us 🙏🏽🙏🏽
