This whole event he was fire
Facts ❤
won both 1v1 and 3v1 he was on one this event
It’s true. Slim maybe was sleep from the baby for a couple years😮
Good DJs this event. Music is half the battle.
Roxswift always bringin heat
Nelson needs elastic pants 🤣
it was very tight battle IMO the only difference is slim is slightly more creative in 3rd round ,in the 3rd round nelson seemed like he was thinking what's next instead of let the body flow with the music
Agreed
Pretty sure he just didn't want to continue whipping his sweat to the people in the front row 😂😂😂
Slightly? 😂
i think he was just being nice @@codedsoul7360
Slim pushes the boundaries of popping with his more animation-like style, but he still has that boogaloo foundation. I personally think that the only popper on his level (at least right now) is MT Pop, those two are the titans on the scene right now. Slim's creativity and ability to really dance to ANY music gives him an edge over most poppers. He's comfortable with any style of music. He also doesn't really have reset moves, he just transitions to something else (like MT Pop does).
👌🏼

Damn what's a battle 💪🏾🔥🔥🔥 high level shit!!!!!!!
This was outstanding from both damn
Slim boogie creativity is out this world no matter how you spin it.
Wow after watching these guys for years to finally see this was like Goku V.S Vegeta in the Sayain Saga back in the early 200s, and now it's 2023 and it's Ultra Instinct Goku V.S Ultra Ego Vegeta. Love this video so much and such drastically different styles.

I found it. It's UR Love ft ruby by MCFly@@allanreyna9112
Slim started off bomb, but then let up and Nelson had better aesthetics in his top/bottom positions. A lot of dancers don't understand this which stops them from getting better in dancing. I used to train a lot of dancers on this topic of advancing their growth.
JUDGE DEMO PLEASE
Bosses in da game 🔥
third song please
REAL DANCERS, this is the World's Elite👑. A place where others will never reach, especially those who take the same steps as always or who only move from the waist up. I don't want to say names but they start with Pr...e, N..s, Cre..o, Po......C. Gentlemen this is the peak of Popping, there is only 1 dancer who could be here and everyone knows it is Greenteck. Great battle
🔥
I need second song
а сколько еще фестов нельсон с форточкой в штанах будет?
Надо же проветриваться как-то. С бедолаги итак семь потов сходит😂
Love slim but nelson always on point like a pyramid.
Slim boogie is on some another level forreal
I only saw Slim as superior in the 3rd round, in the first 2 it was for Nelson
Are nelson's pants ok?? Not sure if they're torn or not
I wish I had Nelson's confidence to dance with my fly practically open half the time. Same thing was going on with him at SDF Popping 2023.
need the first songzzzzzz
first song name?
Slim's opening sequence is just mesmerising
Nelson and slim boogie hands down the greatest to ever do it.
great battle.
Too tough to call. They both dope.
I have to say. I’ve seen Nelson dominate over the last2-3 years. I fully expected and hoped that he would win, because he’s beat so many of the dancers I love, him beating slim would somehow be justifiable. Personally I like slim. Grats to slim. I want to see someone beat poppin C now.

Guys you have to think differently to make popping culture better. Hiphop dancers utilize popping techniques to broaden hiphop. Why not for popping dancers? Nelson used to do that and Slim now does too. Slim is still a popping animation dancer just as Kefton is still a hiphop dancer with popping techniques. If you become too strict about popping, young generations will fall apart and popping will die on its own.
Nelson wins
I don't know if the 3rd round came out due to a tie given by the judges of the first 2 rounds, which is normal in the competition, for me I think that if it was a vote it was for the first 2 rounds, for me I was going for Nelson. In the 3rd round if it is slim boogie.
I agree that slim won this, but barely. His third round is what took it. Slim might be the only popper to get away with not really popping though and I'm actually surprised people in the comments are calling it out. Popping as a scene makes zero sense anymore. Judging has created a subjective hell hole for contests to the point where no one can simply define what popping is, and how to judge it. Guys will say someone like MT lost for not hitting enough or moving enough, then someone like slim will barely hit and stand in the same place and win against someone like nelson lmao. I love slim's style, and it's fresh, but it is not really popping focused at all anymore. He barely hit his entire second round. So if we go off of the more foundational popping definition, nelson wins here.
Very interesting
First song someone lol
Definitely saw favoritism do to homecourt advantage slim took that by a long shot
I think if it's a popping battle I should be basically about popping surrounded by other style into it. play with the music but not necessarily at every second because if you go everwhere just because vou want to show a lot vou can also loose the people in your way and the music
the same thing when you talk or write to somebody if it's a conversation with music it's should be the
same...
For me the best way it's to understand the road in the music with the body it can be a simple road or a complexe one but the intention need to be the destination where you landed not necessary about how you start the middle it's your freestyle... you can take the same road than the rest of the people or try to creat vours but if vou do that it's more possible that a lot of people don't understand so to make sure to don't loose them it's not just vou and your différence...( creativity - variations...)
but also the way that you make them connected with with a road that they know in order to have balance between you and the people or you can also be the guys who don't care about the people and be so creative that only fiew people will understand and if those people are part of the judge jackpots lol
Nelson eased up at the end, but Slim Boogie seems more hiphop than popping
i mean Slim's base is rooted in poppin its just that he is more experimental with his dance compared to other poppers which leads to his very unique style.
@@WubzZz- no doubt part of the reason he won, his style is so unique he has people thinking he isn’t popping
@@WubzZz- Before, I saw slim as unique because it was more abstract, now it seemed more hip-hop to me than poping as such, perhaps it has been influenced by the fact that he has been with hip-hop guys lately.
1:25 Slim be like- Been there done that
I dunno man Nelson took that one for me overall... Slim is dope no doubt but his groove is tipping more and more towards hip hop with hitting. I know being a part of Criminalz Crew is probably influencing his style. All three of his rounds could have just as well worked in a hip hop/All styles battle. No hate though and an unpopular opinion I'm sure. It just doesn't scream popping flavour to me 🤷
This is hella facts, there was no need for tiebreaker Nelson had that
Depends on how you look at popping. I see popping as a dance where the technique of hitting is used as a consistent rhythmic emphasis rather than any specific set of styles or moves, so slim is still very much a popper (to me) regardless of his stylistic influences. I appreciate him pushing popping into less familiar territory rather than just looking to the past. Nothing wrong with either approach and having conversations like this is an essential part of popping's growth.
Its hard to beat nelson. He has the best pop ever lol. Not my favorite but he knows his stuff.
@@nerdbottin I can see where you're coming from for sure. I think to me though popping isn't just about the technique and rhythm (hitting). There definitely is an underlying dance that has it's own look, with it's own unique lines/angles to where you can tell it apart from it's movements alone. Just as you would say with locking or hip hop. I'm definitely all for being innovative and pushing creativity in the dance, but I don't think blurring the lines between popping and other styles is the way to go about it. Damn I sound like I'm gatekeeping but eh 😅I'm just an old dog I guess.
Y’all are not serious 😂😂💀

Slim seemed unstoppable on those rounds
lol nelson clearly won that match...slim boogie doesn't dance like popper but more like hip hop dancer
What is popping?
Good Qn bro😂😂😂
@@tomstervelo is a funk dance style base on the technique contracting muscles knows as a pop, done continually to the rhythm of a song in combination with various moviments and poses.
I think that change has appeared in the last time that he has been sharing more with hiphop dancers, although I think it has not been an evolution because his abstract style is disappearing and that is what made him unique in his pop style.
Nelson be sloppy, he overrated.
I thought the same when I first started watching popping too. But he's one of the best, for sure.
