I was always hard to motivate but a friend of mine was impossible to motivate. I'm 60 and I still have a fixed mind set which can hold me back. The problem is that I always take feedback as personal criticism and when this happens I can lose motivation for weeks. Also I've always done the minimum I can get away with...e.g. I only ever aimed to passed an exam but never bothered to try to get an 'A' or 'Distinction'.
i wish you could get more views because you explain everything clearly and you don't talk about cliche things.💘i really benefit from your ideas, suggestions...🖤
Thank you so much for your kind words, Nora! 😊 When I started the channel my hope was to provide useful content and not rely on the same (like you said) cliched content that helps no one. I hope to share any useful ideas and resoirces that I can find in the future. 🙏
Hi Mordjana, sorry for the late reply. There are two broad types of motivations: intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation comes from within, whereas extrinsic motivations are those that come from without. I hope it helps. Remember the Sunday Live stream and there are 190 articles on Etateach.com. Have a super 2022!
Start slow and give them interesting questions to answer. Also, try to make the content interesting to them by focusing on topics that they might enjoy. In class you want your students to do most of the talking so use many pair and group activities.
@@englishforbeginners9652 You need to do an example with them. Make it easy for them at the start and ask many questions. It's up to you to show them how.
Thank you for this great video!
