Great to see it was really positive, even though it was just confirming things you already knew. But that's good! You guys are an awesome team, thank you for brightening my day!

I do use color note app to keep a checklist of points that I want to hit with the doc. Ps...loved the eyebrow pause. 😜😝😘

I go to Osher Center for Integrative Medicine in Nashville, TN. They are part of Vanderbilt university hospital here, but they have 4 other clinics. It is exactly what you're talking about as far as clinics go. You'll love it even though it's not the norm. But hey...the norm hasn't worked, right?

You know what FND facebook group jokey signs say regarding 'most save their dance moves for the dance floor, we dance at any time'. I think your version should be 'most save their dance moves for the dance floor, I sometimes dance at any time... But today I am saving my dance moves for inside the appointment'. I have had a symptom bother me continuously for 2 weeks, and on the day I eventually gave in to see my GP for a referral to relevant people I still had it. So I thought "great! The first actual time!", I was sitting in the doctors' waiting room and still had it and thought "OMG this is actuallly amazing! Am I imagining this... Don't pinch yourself either way!". In our doctors place you get announced by having the name of person, name of doctor/nurse, and room number, displayed on this TV thing that also tries and pronounces your name out loud, and it gets said twice! So, when I worked out that I was actually on time when this thing announces me to see my doctor, I think I went into shock! Then, from the time I get announced to the 2 and a bit metre walk (that sounds like it takes longer than it does!), the symptom goes away. I think I was about to cry in her office. So, I hope the appointment takes away ALL the bad symptoms (but after the doctor sees it!).

Phoenix Moon WOW! How frustrating. lucky (in a way for me) my symptoms have been very obvious for awhile. lol.

Also, you clearly aren't a cameraphobe and chickening out dealing with the aspect of it, and so you can show the doc some footage etc. (This reply is for both of your comments!).

Just a quick and really frustratingly annoying question you've likely answered tons of times before:
Have you tried using (and then experimenting with various settings, modes, and placement of the sticky pads!) a TENS machine for both pain/aches, and tension and/or spasms? You might need to try it several days for a few hours (best for those chill out duvet days when you watch films!). I find that certain areas I need to make the pulses faster or stronger than those recommended, and/or put the sticky pads in different places than recommended/suggested (I almost typed 'sticky plads in different paces'). I also use it for bone pain in my lower legs, or foot pain. Although, mostly for my knees, or lower back (but having gastro issues regarding 'suddenness' but with low mobility ability kinda makes me adverse to trying it on my tummy spasmy owwies, or lower back/pelvis pain!).

Phoenix Moon Great question! You know, I don't think I have tried it since my diagnois! I had my mom's set in the garage for awhile. ..hmm I should go look! thanks for the brilliant idea!

Larissa, I found that randomly (once I found what my body was ok and comfortable with) it could stop a spasmy tic thing. It was just a 'meh, I need the tens for [area], so we'll see what happens with it, and I can always turn it off should it make things worse', and the timing probably was good cos the spasmy tic was at the 'just starting to be there' kinda thing. I get spasms that seem to test if I am aware that they started, and try to sneak past me pretty much all over. When the spasms sense I''m not noticing them they get worse, then worse, and then get to their worst. When they are building or at full power I can't do anything and painkillers are pointless etc, you just gotta find a position that doesn't hurt as much as the others, and then either get a distraction like a video, or lie down in bed covered with microwavable heat pads (and go to bed as if nighttime, and wake up tomorrow!). Essentially, you just need to wait till it stops! Is that something that you experience with the movements? I could do with nabbing some handy tips! My FND is a toddler! My body is a toddler if I am honest!

I do have issues intermittently. Often for me, it manifests as like night sweats, though I admit I'm a sweaty dysregulated person!
