Thanks, Walter! I've been seeing a lot more of these on the road recently. I'm not a big SUV guy, but if I were, the R1S would probably be very high on my list.
I understand the interest of Rivians is mostly R1S, even though the R1T gets more press. People just like the SUV way of life, it seems. Thx for watching. Happy x-giving
I think it would’ve been a better review if you would’ve actually had the owner on camera speaking from the heart versus your interpretation of their answers
I agree. She was cooking x-giving dinner at the time. She gave me the keys and shoo’ed me out of the house to go play while dinner was cooked. Thx for watching.
Very glad you got to grab your sister-in-law's perspective on the R1S, thanks Walter. So many positives but I do agree with the route planning (and a few other software nags) dislike after I spent some time with the R1T. Rivian has some work to do in that area and I do believe the ABRP team will improve them in that area. With your interest in glamping and visiting far-flung areas, could you see one of these in your future after the XC40 Recharge?
Me too. We had discussed me doing so last weekend after a pre-xgiving event and this morning she seemed enthusiastic to shoe me out of the house for awhile while meal prep occurred, so it worked out well. Although the camp mode leveling with the air suspension is a legitimate feature of practicality, I think I would opt for another two row SUV like the XC40. However, if I ever had the means, the new G2 from Grounded built on the Brightdrop Zevo 600 is really where my wishes rest. It is about three times the price as the R1S though, so not likely, but I will ask Santa and see what comes of it. Thx for watching & hope xgiving is well.
FWIW recently spend 10 days with a Polestar 2. the Google Maps/Android Automotive integration for charging and planning on it is very good. on the fence about an R1S to replace my Land Rover.
Thx for the feedback & sorry u did not enjoy. I road in both the EQB and the R1S. They were not that different from interiors. The 3rd row of the R1S is quite small.

See InsideEVs story from 12/26/2023: "Rivian R1T Owner Says His Truck Has Been Out For Repairs For Eight Months for a damaged side camera"
Will take a look. Thx for sharing.
The Maps feature is actually a better route planner, which Rivian purchased… Better route planning than Apple
Thx I did not know that.

In several years we hope to own a Rivian R2S as it is only 2 of us and we would prefer something a bit smaller.
The company’s future is bright. They worked out the deal with Amazon & that advanced them 5 yrs of growth.
Will you be doing likes/dislikes of the R1T?
Sadly not likely. The next one is probably the BMW I4. I do not personally know anyone who owns an R1T. Thx 4 watching

Much love for Rivian
The EQB is a subcompact vehicle and is in no way a direct comparison to the R1S , this is a laughable “review”
