Elk traveling under I-90 wildlife crossing | August 2021

Did you notice leaves falling and the chill in the air this morning? The elk up around Snoqualmie Pass must have, too, and several herds crossed under I-90 in what could be the start of their autumn migration to the foothills and shrub-steppe near Ellensburg!

Their biologist reports that as of the end of July there have been more than 500 elk crossings on the Keechelus Lake Wildlife Overcrossing this year, and over 1,000 elk crossings at all the I-90 Wildlife Crossings in 2021. #I90Wildlife
