- For the past five years, researchers have documented mule deer, elk, black bear, moose, pronghorn, bobcats and many other wildlife species using wildlife underpasses and overpasses on State Highway 9 in Grand County, Colorado. See how this mitigation project has succeeded in providing safe passages for wildlife while improving motorist safety.
What a great project. It's a win-win for people and animals. Wonderful.
Projects like this across Colorado could prevent thousands of human deaths from wildlife collisions, save countless animals, and create connections across the landscape.
Good work Colorado. We need these everywhere, nation wide. I don't think anybody, animal lovers or not, could object to this program. It benefits everybody, especially the critters.
Thank you for sharing. It is always good when lives are saved, human and animal
Impressive…these are a win for wildlife and humans!❤️👍😊
Traveled this stretch for decades. Definitely a great idea!
Although in use in Canada decades ago I’m glad to see these measures finally taken in Colorado, well done. These over/under passes will effectively reduce highway fragmentation giving wildlife safe passage to roam freely as well as saving lives by reducing automobile collisions. 👍
Need more overpasses and underpasses
A very well-produced video.

I prefer narration so I can concentrate on content
