him being lost in the woods was symbolic for him finding anna again ive heard some fans really didn't like him and i have yet to see it but his arc is an interesting one
I just watched Frozen 2 and I actually cried in the Elsa's show yourself scene and Anna's the next right thing scene. I didn't expect to actually cried since the first Frozen wasn't too emotional for me but Disney actually outdo themselves. Really looking forward for the DVD release to watch it again.

I won't say the specifics, but if you've seen Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, this movie has the exact same problem that film had, and like that film, the ending ruins the whole film.
Sorry but how does it ruin everything? If I think you're referring to what you're referring to I thought it was a natural evolution of the plot. I was anticipating some gigantic catastrophic reveal but there was none insofar as I could see.

It's a bit bittersweet that many of you have gone your separate ways due to real-life jobs and ONLY are just doing movie reviews.
Sorry but there’s not a single shred of music in Frozen 2 that is remotely close to the quality of the music in the first film. There is no “let it go” in Frozen 2. I heard multiple complaints about the music in this film as people exited the theater. Most were saying there was nothing rememberable about any of it
The waterhorse is the waterspirit, the lizard is the fire spirit, the air spirit is invisible, and the rock giants are the earth spirits (there may be multiple horses and lizards too). That's why they're all attracted to Elsa (and Olaf, since he's basically an extension of her).

I cannot comment on most of this cuz I'm not watching most of this cuz come on, I want to find out about flipping Frozen 2 watching Frozen 2. BUT. I don’t think it’ll be quite as popular at the original, I think the music might be a bit harder for kids to learn and pick up, it’s just a more complex story with more complex songs. Kinda meant for a slightly older audience too, since it’s a 6 year gap and they talk to the audience a lot about getting older and stuff

I just saw Frozen 2- I’m still emotional. I have so many thoughts and I have so many things to say.
First off: I love the music
Show Me, yes. Yes yes. However when I first was watching I felt like - it felt unfinished, but then after processing a bit- I was thinking maybe it’s just black with the magic around her because she doesn’t know and they want us to feel in the dark like she feels?
Okay next up- I don’t think you mentioned it or maybe? When Olaf talks about Samantha. How funny was that. Omg everytime I hear his song it cracked me up idk why- then when seeing it in the movie- it was even funnier.
Now about the parents-
Think about this
If they hadn’t shamed her magic, then maybe she wouldn’t have felt the need or have been so messed up as an adult.
Anna- being the caregiver- omg how we didn’t see that she was going to be queen-
Also
The ending. I don’t like how they mushed the ending all together with Kristoff, asking Anna to marry her. It didn’t fit in the moment that they put it. Anna & Elsa are reunited and she just finds that her sister is alive again, and he’s like oh hey- let’s get married- it just didn’t see right to me, esp since they’re so strongly about how this isn’t about a romantic love typical movie. And yet Anna gets it all in the end?
Kristoff Love the 80s song- but more so I love when he swoops Anna up and says I’m here how can I help- not just I’ll take care of it kinda response.
What do you think about the Lbgtq idea with - that Honeymaron is who Elsa is hinted to be with. There is an interview w the two leading ladies and they both stated that’s not the direction they took, and Kristen stepped in and stated it’s not our business who Elsa chooses.
I just didn’t like how she worded it in the interview- it should have been like it doesn’t matter whom she chooses to be with, not that she really wants to be with anyone considering she runs to live in the woods instead of dealing with her fear and feelings.
Okay how about the grandpa being the villain. Thoughts? I like how Anna fixed what was wrong and rallied the soldiers to fix what was right.
And last Olaf’s reenactment of Frozen 1- story with Matthias reactions to the dramatic tale.
Then if you saw after the credits he did it again with the marshmallow snowmonster telling them tale of frozen 2 and the little snow sneezes from Olaf’s frozen adventure.
Okay this is just my immediate feelings after leaving the theater. I loved it. I think it will do well- but there was something that didn’t put it over the top for me. I think the fact that things change in life- and they didn’t end up together. Just because that’s what they have been trying to fight for the last flick.
Elsas transformation- I mean hello hair and gorgeous. But again it felt unfinished visually with just the black screen and her death seemed painful but it happened so quick it didn’t give it the build up for the emotions
Overall I loved it- yet there was still something that at the end, they wanted to be this happy family and yet idk.

I really hope the bonus featurws include to writing/storyboarding process for this story because I know it got kinda complicated many audiences didn’t quite understand what they were going for, so I am curious what the creators were going for

Near the end of the movie, right after their parent's shipwreck encounter, Elsa decides to go to Ahtohallan (a frozen island and the source of the siren she keeps hearing throughout the whole movie) alone in spite of Anna's objection to remain with her. Anna hesitates and wants to go with her. For safety reasons she tricks Anna and Olaf and places the two on a small ice canoe and pushes them away. Consequently both Anna and Olaf end up in a cave trying to find a way out so that they could get back to Elsa.
Elsa swims across the Dark Sea and has a scuffle with the Water horse Spirit (one of the four elements) but later befriends it. She arrives at Ahtohallan. There she learns that she is the fifth Spirit Element and of the dark history of Arendelle.
Long before there were two divided people: Arendellians led by the King (Elsa's and Anna's Grandfather) who also brought along his son, made peace with the people of the Enchanted Forest who were called the Northuldra (natives who communicate with nature and believe in the four elements: air, water, earth and fire). As a peace offering the King and his men had finished building a dam for the Northuldra. For a time there was unity among the people. But it was just a ruse. Due to out of fear that one day the tribe might revolt against the kingdom with magic of the unknown the King slays the chieftain and ignites a battle between the two people. The King dies in battle. The elements of the Enchanted Forest awakens and places a curse by shrouding the entire forest in a mist like barrier (preventing those from entering and exiting). Amid the scuffle, the King's son gets knocked out but is saved by a Northuldra girl. They managed to escape the forest. Both return to Arendell and the son is eventually crowned the next king.
Elsa freezes up completely upon learning the truth and thus resulting her death? Before she does though she sends a flurry of snow as a message to Anna. Anna receives it and learns about the truth as well. Olaf relays to Anna that he can no longer feel Elsa's magic and in turn dies as well. In order to break the curse of the Enchanted Forest, Anna must destroy the dam that their grandfather built.
Anna escapes the cave and heads to the forest. She, with the help of Kristoff & Sven, lures the Giant Earth Golems to the dam knowing that once the dam is destroyed all of Arendelle will be flooded. The dam is destroyed and the curse is lifted. Because of that Elsa comes back to life and rushes back to stop the incoming water surge from hitting Arendelle. Elsa and Anna reunite along with Kristoff and Sven. Elsa revives Olaf as well. Kristoff proposes to Anna which she accepts. Elsa figures that her destiny lies with the people of Northuldra since she is the Fifth Spirit, by becoming the bridge that links the elements/nature and the people together. Anna then becomes the Queen of Arendelle as her new purpose.

I saw this movie today. I enjoyed it but to me it didn't have the same feel as the first one. Also I feel like now we need a Frozen 3 to cover Anna and Kristoff's wedding. Also why didn't any one make an Elsa doll with the white dress?
I haven't seen the film yet but I listened to the songs and I'm totally disappointed that there's no duet for Elsa and Anna. Their harmonies are so wonderful and I was so looking forward to it once they announced the sequel... Real shame.

What happened at the end of the movie?
Anna becomes queen of Arendelle. Elsa being the 5th spirit decides to live among the Northuldra.
Anna writes a letter to Elsa to drop by especially on Charade Fridays. And after we see Elsa riding off back towards Ahtohallan
Winx Forever nope she rode towards Ahtohallan then the credits came
Winx Forever Yeah that was weird. After reading Anna’s letter I assumed she was going to the castle but she didn’t. They do charades at night anyway and it was still daytime at that last scene. So it’s safe to say she has the extra time to head back to Ahtohallan

What happened to the parents
It explains in the movie, but without ruining too much (hopefully) they were headed to where Elsa ends up going in the 2nd movie and they didn't make it. Elsa needed her powers to get there to find out the truth about something and she was the only one who could do this.
From listening to the soundtrack the songs arent as good.
I think it's hard because we've had 6 years with the first songs, so I think once you see these songs in action in the film and have a little more time, you'll like them more. -Morgan
