I tried to come up with as comprehensive of a list as possible, but know I missed some (Little & Big Monsters AKA the Monsters vs. Aliens knock off). Let me know which ones I missed in the comments!

You’ve missed The Canadian made Goodtimes Jungle Boy too! The two animated Tarzan mockbusters by Golden films and Dingo Pictures are missed out as well.

I have a VHS tape for an A&E episode about the adaptations of the Hunchback of Notre Dame that aired around the time of the Disney version. It didn’t mention that one in the episode, but it did have an odd one where Quasimodo’s hunchback hid angel wings.
Braver is actually a Christmas cartoon from 2006 repackaged as Braver.

One interesting thing about Disney's The Little Mermaid is that some elements of it were at the very least heavily inspired by the 1975 anime version of the same story from Toei. Ariel was originally to have blonde hair like Marina but it was changed in production. Even more damning to Disney are the animal sidekick, the look of the main character's father and the Sea Witch as well the scene with the shipwreck and the prince's statue which were all in the Toei film and borrowed from Disney.
At the time Disney's The Little Mermaid came out, the Toei film (which had already had a couple of VHS releases and I believe had appeared on Nickelodeon) got itself a new VHS release to compete for the "confused grandma market." Funny how the original would become the mockbuster.

So about these 'Secret of' movies. The secret is either really obvious (Mulan) or just a fever dream someone had make for kids.
For the following information, I have to credit Phelous. I never watched these movies, I just saw his videos about them.
To answer you question about the secret of Anastasia, (spoilers), the instruments you see on the cover are in fact objects that were once human. They are, and I am not kidding, the other dead Romanovs (minus 2 sisters). And they are dead, in the movie they are dead. It is pretty F*cked up.
In the Hunchback movie (more spoilers), Quasimodo has a hunchback because he is secretly an angel. Because why not?

I actually love both Jetlag and Disney Sleeping Beauty. I love the Jetlag production not only because they used the name Felicity for the princess (Disney holds Copyright on the name Aurora- (:, but also) because it is much closer to the fairy tale, and they have 7 beautiful fairies in the colors of the rainow (Disney only made three old ladies, but Jetlag has the original 7). The Disney version has the advantage of the music from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping beauty ballet; and I'm actually more team blue; but I love even more Aurora's peasant dress.
What I do not like is that Disney is the one claiming the fairy tale market for itself. Children do mostly only know the Disney fairy tales, but not the original ones; and if I'm looking for a Sleeping beauty picture, I'm at first finding only the Disney version.....):

Actually they DON'T, they attempted to copyright the name Aurora in 2007 ,but fell flat on their faces because the name originates from Perrault's version of the story called La Belle a Bois Dormant from 1697 .In the second part of the story, the Princess has two kids,a boy named Jour ( meaning Day ), and a girl named Aurora which means Sunrise in French ... Tchaikovsky took the name Aurora and put it in the title character in his 1889 ballet, which Disney heavily borrowed from in terms of the plot and Aurora's name of course ( Good Vs Evil was not a thing in the Fairytale , regardless of variation ... The fairy curses the baby and disappears from the story, and the curse gets fulfilled by accident ... In the ballet the evil fairy Caraboss gives the princess a bouquet of flowers 💐 with a kindle hidden within them and the princess pricks her finger ( which in both Grimm's and Perraeult's it's her hand that gets pricked ) and then Caraboss tries to prevent the prince that has come with the help of the Lylac fairy from waking the princess, for If he does ( per the Lylac fairy's alteration of the curse ) Caraboss DIES 💀 ... Anyway Disney drew a lot of inspiration from the plot of the ballet while having their own original additions ( like the princess getting raised as a peasant, or the lovers being betrothed ... ) Asides the motives of those companies to cash in on Disney's success, most of their films have nothing in common with Disney's versions because they draw inspiration from the books 📚 ( Beauty and The Beast, and Sleeping Beauty as well as Snow White ... The Little Mermaid does take some things from Disney's,but iconic scenes like the fire works at the ship, or Ursula's worm things,as well as her house being a skeleton 🦴 ... Many nods to the HCA Tale ... ) I do find some of them kind of enjoyable guilty pleasures, not gonna lie 😂😂😂 ... There are many things about those stories that changed with time ,due to the popularity of Disney's versions,or other specific versions like Tchaikovsky's ballet ( which changed tones of things from Perrault's version ... Disney's take it's much closer to the Ballet's story than either Perrault's or Grimm's fairy tales )

      @@alexp.d3689 okay, I have rather brought it up from the thoughts that I read when there was the copyright issue with Aurora, when there was the plan Mattel doing a Barbie Sleeping Beauty version based on the ballet....I know the ballet background also the Perrault connections and the Brother Grimm versions. It bugs me only when people think that it's then only stolen from Disney...but don't know the background of the story. It's also interesting to see how the Disney happily ever after swapped to other further Little Mermaid animation, musicals and also book retellings; and also back to ballet, as in case of Sleeping Beauty; there are even stagings that would include the dragon fight etc. (;

Oh yeah, Team Blue Aurora dress all the wayyyyy!! Pink I liked when I was little, but she rocks that blue hehe!! 💙💖
Ahhhh I remember some of these Golden Films were free on demand & I was just that weird kid who watched ANYTHING fairy tale related (why I love Swan Princess so much haha!) & remember having watched some of these, not enjoying them so much, as just “entranced” out of boredom, mainly w/ any Anastasia knock off, I was AND STILL obsessed w/ the lore haha!! This was so crazy to watch, loved going through these!! 😆
Also so hilarious when your voice changes sometimes 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well, technically you're wrong ... I've seen all off the 2d one's and, Jetlag productions didn't rip off Disney. The motive behind the making of those films was to confuse parents sure , but they draw influence from the fairytales and not Disney's versions ... They are much closer to the books than Disney's ... Motives aside, just because one makes an adaptation of a classic Fairytale that does not make them a Disney rip-off ... 99% of Disney's films were made into animation decade's before Disney's ... Again, their motives aside they have next to nothing in common with Disney's versions ( some of them do,but I'm not gonna write an entire essay on which do and which don't ...😂 ) ... Also, for the whole ( Lion King=Kimba the white lion ) , Check YMS's video essay on the topic where he debunks this theory ... Aladdin HAS some glaring similarities with a film Disney was to distribute called the Thief and the Cobbler ( a film which started production in 1964 I think ... Somewhere in the mid 60's anyway ).There was an anime adaptation of the Little Mermaid from Japan in 1975 by the studio "Toy animation" which has the protagonist ( Marina ) having a dolphin companion ...

I have no sympathy for Disney. 'Cause they're rip off things from the original Even the founder of Disney didn't even create Mickey Mouse, he was credited alone. Pinocchio then adapted it, ignoring the objection of the copyright owner's heirs.
As for the lion king also changed from homage project for Tezuka Osamu Claims to be Disney's original after he died before the project was finished.
Atlantis copied from Nadia secret of blue water.

But Kimba is itself a mishmash of Bambi, Othello, Hamlet, Tarzan and Sinbad. It is also originally a manga for teens and a much darker story than the lion king.
