It is absolutely mind blowing to me how there is not a single move or motion wasted in this entire play through. I’m not gonna lie it’s almost hard to believe this is even a human being playing this the way he has mastered every aspect of the game so well.

It could conceivably be a TAS. I don’t know the game well enough to judge, despite beating it on this same difficulty (not anywhere near as easily). But certainly tool-assisted speed runs are done with other games, so it’s possible.
I’m only 25 minutes in when making this comment, but yes, it almost seems like a computer.

@@nik774 That's certainly possible. I was definitely no expert, but I muscled through to beat it on Hard, which was one of the harder games I've beaten. I'm currently in the process of going through GOW III the same way.

The only problem is that there are spoilers for those who don't like long play but otherwise everything is good to go so yes I agree with you that long play is good but everything has a good side as well as a bad side but rather than being worried about the bad side it is best to enjoy the good side and be satisfied with what there is so yes I agree with you but I talked about the bad side and spoiler part just to give my opinion and didn't mean to say anything bad, just wanted to say that every coin has 2 sides

@@treyblackstock6814 It will take you some practice. This is a combination of Icarus Ascension and the Barbarian Hammer High Jump.
Basically, you start by pressing L1 + X to perform Icarus Ascension, then while airborne (with Barbarian Hammer equipped) press L1 to perform Might of the King, however this is where it gets tricky.
Before Kratos slams the ground, press the start button quickly (you must do it right as the animation begins) to enter the Power Up menu. Then, quickly cycle through your sub-weapons until you return to the Barbarian Hammer.
Once you're done, press either start or triangle to return to the game. Quickly double jump, and Kratos will grab onto the ledge and pull himself up. Remember, this will take some practice but you'll get into the rhythm of it soon enough.

Ares: [wages endless warfare, enrages Olympus to the point where they send Kratos to stop him]
Kratos: [immediately does the exact same thing] "How could Zeus betray me like this?"
There were two things he did better than Ares: He actually had loyalty to his homeland, and he didn’t try to take over Olympus, unlike Ares’s rebellion in the original game.
Also he never asked to be a god? He wanted to be rid of the haunting memories of killing his wife and kid. Basically had PTSD and just wanted it to stop. Athena tricks him into killing Ares so she doesn't have to bloody her own hands by being vague in her promises to him. When he realizes she won't rid him of the constant visions of his torment, his goes to kill himself. Which the gods further deny and place him in the role of the god of war since they no longer have Ares. He did not want godhood. He did not ask for it. So yes. I can imagine pent-up rage, frustration, and betrayal would lead him into being a warmonger. Can't say Kratos is a hero in these games, but you also can't say that what he does is unwarranted. Every single one of his actions is spurred by the gods meddling in his life. Ares would have had a loyal warrior for the rest of Kratos' days if he hadn't tricked him into killing his family.

I played the games as a kid but 10+ years later I’ve forgotten everything. To be fair I don’t even remember breakfast from yesterday. I played GoW 2016 and now I’m finishing up Ragnarok. I’ve been wanting to play all of the games to understand better but this has been a much more enjoyable experience. Thanks for taking the time to post your series on here

Im new to the GOW franchise, completed GOW 4 last year and loved it so decided to get 1 & 2 on the PS2 and 3 + Ascension for the PS3, completed 1 the other week and I'm pretty much at the end of 2, they are amazing! I wish I'd have been into them as a kid but even better, I'm into them at 36!!
it's also amazing to know that Kratos has no map but still, he knows where to go and never gets lost😄

3:10:57 - Defending the translator on God ( Hard ) & Titan ( Very Hard ) is 1000 times easier than The family in the first game. I’ve ever only been able to save them on Mortal ( Easy ) and Hero ( Normal. )
Spartan ( Hard ) and God ( Very Hard ) are downright near impossible to beat during that fight I had to use the magic glitch to eventually get the secret massage And finish the last 2 difficulties.
