You are 100% correct about the refs. The officiating in the WNBA is atrocious, an embarrassment really. And it is the REAL problem. But if you think this is no different than the NBA, you haven't been paying attention. The NBA would never allow this kind of contact and physicality. You can't breath on a ball handler in the NBA. These ladies are 10x more physical than the NBA. The other big problem is all these people who want to try to say "it's just a physical league" There's a huge difference between physical play and hurting someone. When you follow through on a block and split someone's nose open or elbow them in the head. That's not "physical play", that's too far. I like physical play. But I also like basketball. What happened to Wilson in this game, multiple times, is NOT basketball.

I am a Clark fan and i have to say she is not being targeted, that's just how they let them play in the WNBA. But really it starts at a young age where the refs "let the girls play' dating back to AAU even.

They made the NBA into a sissy league, I stopped watching it when David West retired from the Warriors. He was the reason why the Warriors was so elite, he had a sweet jumper, a beast from the free throw line and played solid D. 6'3 guard out jump a 7' center and dunk on him. That was real basketball, Wilt Chamberlain said he would break MJ if he tried to dunk on him. The NBA is just a weak league.

Pretty comical if they didn't writhe in agony for 20 minutes. These big strong women better slow down a bit, make sure their brains can catch up with their big strong bodies.
Notice when the play was live the second collision- when both players went down - the aggressive player who initiated and intentionally threw a cheap elbow in an attempt to clear a lane for herself which she already had - but was so in a frenzy to throw the elbow ended up closing her lane and subsequently crossed the twos feet - resulting in the less aggressor hitting her head on the floor -looks over at the girl who is really hurt - starts her fakery and ultimately stayed on the floor longer than the real injured girl - but the whole fast break should have been whistle blown dead if the refs were competent enough to call the first a foul - smfh I’m tired of watching fo real - if CC next game is more of the same I’m done watching I don’t even like basketball

Another reason I hesitate to watch WNBA are the female announcers. This one says there is "star power is of the charts", "the talent is at an all time high" yet you look at the "talent" and you see two players running into each other and tripping. You see defensive players who cannot get one foot (12 inches) off the ground try to block shots and only succeed in smashing the opponent in the head (this game and in the Chicago sky vs Indiana Fever). Please be HONEST with what you SEE not what you want to see. Sure the league is a bit better but the skill level is still wanting.

I actually went to see this game; despite what the score said, the game was very competitive and this hard foul on Aja was not even the worst one. Somebody literally pulled her eye contact and she had to sit for quite a time. The foul was unintentional though...... Welcome to the WNBA to all these new fans who just started to follow the WNBA. These women play hard, and you would not see a game in which a team doesn't play defense and ended up getting 150 points scored against them.
