Hey! How do we switch to select tool while using type tool? The problem is it types out alphabet 'V' (shortcut for select tool) on the workspace while using type tool. Is there any shortcut to directly switch to select tool ?

Ah, that is not an Illustrator feature but a Mac OSX feature: Ctrl+Alt+Shft+4 let's you take screen grab. On a PC you would the screen shot tool.

@@mohitagarwal01 Windows Key+Shft+S is the shortcut to do a screen grab on a PC. I use it all the time :)

Great question! And it always bugs me. You can press Esc in order to either manipulate the Text object you just created or to use another hotkey.
