This episode - Haruka Styles visits Autopolis, the only international standard circuit in Kyushu.
Autopolis is a dynamic racing circuit set in the natural terrain of the Kokonoe Mountain Range and Mount Aso in Oita and Kumamoto Prefectures. With a total length of 4,674m and a maximum height difference of 52m, their International Racing Course hosts some of Japan's most prestigious races such as SUPER GT and SUPER FORMULA. They are highly regarded by famous racers and licensees from both within and outside of the prefecture as one of Japan's leading circuits.
Here you can drive your own car (four-wheeled or two-wheeled) on the track, and Haruka even got to make her debut at the track with a professional driver.
Haruka was thrilled to make her debut at the circuit, driving down the "rollercoaster straight", a huge 10% gradient hill, at speeds far beyond her expectations.
On day 2, Haruka spent the day watching the races!
The concentration of the racers, the passionate cheering of the fans, the unique sound of the cars on the track, and the tension of the race made it impossible to take her eyes off the action - even a second. The extraordinary technique of each racer excited the audience and the voltage of the venue rose quickly, we experienced the enthusiasm, excitement and emotion that only a live spectator can provide.
Autopolis has a European-style layout, with the pits outside the track, so you can see the cars and racers up close. In addition to watching and experiencing the races, there are also road races, events and racing schools for the general public to take part in.
There is a course-side lodge and a camping area where you can pitch your tent and watch the races from the side of the course, spend time in the great nature of Aso.
With so many activities on and off track to be enjoyed, Autopolis is a unique attraction to add to your itinerary.
