This time, Haruka Styles visits Oita Agricultural Park, which has a variety of facilities based on the the theme of “Learn, Play, Relax”. The park has a farm, a flower garden, cottages, auto campgrounds and a mini zoo.
Haruka's first stop was the Flower Garden, which is filled with lovely, round Kochia plants.
Kochia is a beautiful plant that changes color with the seasons. In the summer, it shows a bright light green, and when the leaves start to change colour a little earlier than the maple leaves, you can enjoy the gradient of colours going from green to red, then red to crimson.
In spring, this "flower garden" is also a popular ‘Instagrammable’ spot because of the beautiful sky-blue Nemophila.
Haruka then enjoyed picking pears in the orchard. There you can also pick grapes, peaches, blueberries and sweet potatoes.
There are also cottages with kitchenware, appliances, air-conditioning and bedding, an auto-campground, boats for touring the lake, bicycles for hire and tram cars for touring the park.
The Lakeside Castle has a 38-yd long slide, and a 3ft high castle on a hill from which you can see Mt. Yufudake in the distance.
