People want to always crap on a Poulan. Sure it's a cheap saw, but also, it's a cheap saw and it'll sure get the job done. It's a machine. The way you treat it is the way it will treat you. Machines always give 100%. Give me a sharp chain, I don't much care what powers it.
Yep and some people don’t realize that Poulan saws are sold direct to the customer so there is no mechanic to tune the saw before you get it. That is what helps to give them a bad name these days. If they were tuned prior to the customers elevation and temperature i’m sure they’d have a better reputation.
@@Indeewoods I never knew about that. I'm sure that makes it a bit cheaper and if you're handy you can set it up just how you want it instead of some other guys idea of what it ought to do. I've got a couple of older ones with the aluminum handles and they aren't in bad shape. The little one is super handy for limbing a fallen tree.
They are among the best starting saws out there but like any 2 stroke they need to be tuned right. I may do a video explaining how to tune them I hate to see people buy these saws then can never get them to run. They just keep Poo-lan and Poo-lan to get them started lol. Thanks for watching. I hate to hear about all these people saying they never use their saws because they won’t run right. Hopefully we can change that in the near future.
I am on my second poulan Wild thing love them saws and cheep too first one was about 7 years old . We were clearing trails and it fell of my snow go and the guy behind me ran over it breaking the handle went right out and got another one , think it was $125 back then .
Cool! I never heard that trick of fliping the bogies. I heard about flipping the tracks backwards for more traction though when I was a kid. I remember doing that to some sleds over the years. Check out my video with my 69 Ski Daddler where I take it to an old abandoned cabin. You’ll see a grey coloured old snowmobile and the title about riding a vintage sled to a cabin.

We would tie a big inner-tube to it but we couldn’t break it lose we found out ( quite by accident) that flipping the back set of bogeys that you could spin around and the skis wouldn’t move I bet that tub would be going a hundred miles a hour ( list it felt that way) Good memory’s hell that was like 50 years ago. 👨🏻🦳 Now a drive a bearcat wide track low and slow lol.

You can make your own ethonal free fuel at home. Just add it in A separate jug the amount you want to transform. From ethonal fuel to pure FUEL by adding in water then shaking it well let it set for days then plastic hand pump the bottom part out of the fuel until you 👀 see only fuel in the jug.

If someone finds things you put on public land they would report it or haul it away and take it to the scrap yard. We try to keep our back country clean. This sled was at a place nobody would ever go. Checked our channel you have some cool old sled vids!!

That would be tough but if it was out in the foothills/mountains where we were it wouldn’t be so bad lol. It is sad though that many people have no home. Back then I was having mostly a good time but it was challenging. You just have to try and make the best of it.
@@Indeewoods dude that spot would have been a dream haha. Luckily i weathered the storm and doing alright now. There is nothing that comes close here in Florida its all flat and over built. Im currently looking for land out of state to camp on and build a cabin.
Ya such a different world there. You guys have 10 times the population that we do though. Still lots of areas to go. Being out in the woods alone has a real calming effect and I guess the doctors here are going to star prescribing park passes to help people out with certain issues vs medication. Not sure if it’s true but if so pretty cool. Hope you find your cabin one day.
I can’t remember I’d have to watch the video again but I hadn’t been to the sled site for all those years. I may have cleaned the main trail in a few times but it is no where near where the sled is because it’s an old logging road/trail. The sled as you can see by the ammount of bush whacking was way off the beaten path. Everyone loves to analyze this video lol.
I have 96 dodge Cummins with an 8ft box and it's terrible in the snow with 4 wheel drive and weight in the back Goodyear all terrain tires . What tires do you have on that truck and does it have a shorter wheel base ???
My dog was in about the same shape turned out he thyroid was doing what ever they do took me about two weeks and a pill morning and night but now she is back eating hers are clear and now she is back.
People that owe the bank money for their cars/ tractor etc will take them into the woods and hide them from repo guy and come back for them later maybe. Most let them rot as long as bank don't get it back they consider it a win. I find vehicles deep in the woods when I go riding my tracked sxs.

back in 1992 I got a job in sturgis at the yamaha shop. my first job was making two junk jhon deere snowcats into one... dont know why anyone would bother, they were crap. both of them. I got one to work, barely, cause both were junk. it was one of those impossible tasks that got me hired, I guess... shit shop to work in I quit and fuck them.
Something that was worth virtually nothing at the time and even less now... I am going to have to make a seperate video just for the 1 percent of my viewers that think it was stollen. Lol
Totally agreed. As they say though young and dumb. For what it’s worth I do a huge clean up of the back country every year plus all my camping trips my truck always has something in it. Mine is the V10 it’s not as good in snow as my diesel 12valve Cummins was.
We have 84 acres on Manitoulin Island.
